"Because she isn't my mother any more. Whoever Sharder is, he apparently killed my father, and now she has become obsessed with finding him and making him pay. I don't believe he killed my father, so I don't have any fight with him," she said bluntly.
"And I don't intend on getting in your way."
Espira fiddled with her hair that way up until she she gave up and pulled the clip, letting her white hair cascade down her back. Shadow heard the story once, and found little interest in listening as he pondered intensely over their next move, somewhat lost in thought as he put himself outside of the situation.

Storm's interest peeked, for other reasons, now. "Pray tell, who was your father? Why does she think that? And why don't you?" His adrenaline began pumping and he sat began walking slowly around the room to release this energy, not wanting to seem like the news affected him much. It was only at this time that Storm took a seat next to Crystal, sitting close enough for his arm to brush against hers, finding comfort in her presence, which helped him calm down a bit as he awaited Espira to answer.

Crystal felt herself smile inwardly as Storm sat next to her, but his sudden infatuation with the two new girls reminded her that Storm was a loner, not tied to any one person. She accepted this and moved on as Espira started. "Why? What does it matter to you in our deal," she said cautiously with an equal manner to that of Storm.
Shadow half listened to their inquiries, hoping they could learn to get along quickly through the circumstances.

Once he'd calmed down, he went to stand in front of Espira, his interest filled with her. "Please, don't get hostile, dear. I'm simply curious. I've only just met you and it seems knowing you, one person, changes everything we've endured while being here. I simply long for some explanation for such confusing matters."

"Well, if you must know, his name was, or rather is, Zakuro. I assume she watched it or something, but she doesn't spek with me much after that. I don't think he was killed. Something about it just seems, wrong," she said, thinking about how she felt towards it.
Espira wasn't too keen on telling more than necessary, and tried to keep details to a minimum. Crystal glanced at them, then to Shadow who was still thinking, then to Kiya who stood awkwardly at the side from them all.

Focus stood in Storm's eyes as he thought. I didn't kill him. That idiot creeper. No, that wasn't me. And judging by what I know of him, he wouldn't be dead. Not before I was. He nodded, noticing the boundaries he was crossing. "Thank you. I'm sorry to have intruded. We'll get you out of here, as promised, of course." His eyes then went to Shadow, frustration burning in them. "Well, shadow, what is your plan of action, huh? We can't just walk out of here." His adrenaline had not calmed down. He had questions and he wanted answers.

Espira did a bow with her head. She intended on getting out one way or another. She had to find her father and solve this problem. She wanted her family back, and this was her chance. "I wish to thank you though. Although you don't seem to have very many options, I still thank you for accepting this deal with me," She said with less caution than before.
"A roof. There must be access to the roof or the battlements from inside. If we can make it there, we will be able to escape," Shadow exclaimed with realization dawning as he spoke.
"There is a roof, but only I and the queen have access to it, making it somewhat suspicious, however, it can work," She said pondering it.
Crystal poked in now adding her worries. "But what about those strange demons? They are watching every move we make it seems, and they..."
"HEXOSS. They are the elite troupe picked by the queen herself to be the best, or the worst for us, of the forces. They are only called out when a very difficult task is to be handled. I assume it is you that they are after. They travel using secret passages laid through the building that only they know, and one of them isn't demon. The Fallen Angel," She said interrupting Crystal.
Crystal was slightly irritated, but glad that Espira knew so much of this. "Shadow was right to bring her along," She said to her thoughts.
Espira sighed heavily and flattened her purple dress against her body, before standing and pacing slightly as Storm had. "I don't know what happened here, why or how you got dragged to this place, but HEXOSS will certainly complicate things. None the less, I will do what I can to avoid them, but there is little chance we will not face a battle with them," she voiced to them while thinking.
Shadow nodded, testing the fabrics of his power on the room. "I'm game for a fight," he said despite his lack of strength.
Crystal nodded too, then looked to Storm for his input on the matter.

Storm had a soft smile on his lips. He stood with his arms crossed, his hair shadowing the expression in his eyes. "I have no argument with a fight, m'lady. Don't you worry." His voice was determined and gave away anticipation. As a demon, he had no problem with fighting as long as it wasn't uneven out of his favor, which he'd made sure of with his collection of allies. As a king, though, with a fight against a queen over his territory and a false accusation... he had every will and want to go through with it. He was excited for it. Anticipating it. And he knew they would not get out of here without a fight with the queen. He knew it for a fact. But he didn't say anything. After a moment, time enough to catch hold of himself, he rose his head so his eyes could be seen, and he looked at Espira. A sweet smile touched his lips. "It's no problem. We aren't going to get through this if we don't work together, right? Better to cooperate than reject you. You're not hard to get along with, either. I really don't mind it."

Espira nodded, and turned to Shadow who had seemed to take the lead in the operation. "Well, Better sooner than later I say," Shadow stated as he griped tightly upon the short sword and began for the door.
Crystal looked at Storm and smiled. "Alright! Let's kick some ass!"
Espira took the lead of the group to guide them to the roof access, and when Shadow opened the door, she was out with no hesitation or subtlety what so ever. Shadow took after her, though trying to keep himself smaller than everyone else. Crystal grabbed Kiya's hand gently and pulled her along saying, "Your coming with us now. You'll be free."

After Storm had followed, they took the building with all the most elusive paths Espira could think of, bypassing the main hall and many of the busiest places. Her albino eyes searched carefully as they took the first flight of stairs, and once they had made it to the second floor, they were unstopped by the need for subtlety. She ran forward suddenly and began taking the halls at a decent pace.
Shadow was taken slightly aback, but rushed forward with her. Crystal tried to keep up with them, but Kiya was still too weak to keep up with such a pace. "Storm, I can't carry her. Can you," She asked slightly ashamed.

Storm looked about to follow the other two, loving the idea of such a fast pace. It's how he worked. He was stopped by Crystal's voice and he turned with irritation in his eyes. He glanced first at Crystal then to Kiya. "Fine." he hissed. He went to Kiya's side and picked up the young girl, putting her on his back as she mimicked what he'd taught her about holding onto his neck. He looked about to follow the other two, going to use his sharp speed to catch up with them, the he stopped, remembering Crystal's inability to track and that her speeds couldn't keep up with his. He gave a sharp hiss and looked at her. "Follow me." He continued at a slightly faster pace than what they'd been going, slow enough for her and for him to pick the traces of scent the others had left. They eventually caught up and Storm gave a murmured "Sorry" to Shadow and Espira.

Shadow paid no mind to Storm's apology as he felt none was needed. "We're getting close to the exit. One more flight of stairs," Espira said from the front.
Shadow nodded to himself, and prepared himself.
They took the next flight of stairs two at a time and reached the top, then Espira stopped abruptly, Shadow nearly running into her, but catching himself before that, unlike Crystal who knocked into Storm slightly.
In front of them stood Cisca with her silver hair flowing down her back and blowing in a slight breeze from an open hatch in the ceiling. Behind her stood the rest of HEXOSS. S&S, twin demon sisters, devious and cruel. X, with his short cut green hair and cat like green eyes. E, her red hair cut to her shoulders, a black black blade in her hands. H, his eyes grey like Shadow's, his hair black and cut short, and his stance relaxed yet menacing still.
Shadow saw in the hands of each sister, one of his blades, Ares & Arcanum. He felt heat rise in his chest at the outrage, but held his cool, clearing his mind for the fight to come.
Espira scoffed at them as Cisca began to speak. "It seems you have been very disobedient my daughter, helping them escape from my care. Tell me, how do you intend to escape from here with a demon, two incapable...magicians, and useless girl, and yourself, a half breed?" she prodded, a slight chuckle from her own company.

Storm paid no mind to Crystal's hit and placed Kiya on her feet at the arrival of Cisca, pushing her gently to Crystal. "Stay with her, please." He said to Kiya in a sweet singsong voice and a gentle smile. He then stepped up to Espira's side as she stood facing her mother. "Now now, that doesn't sound like the proper way for a mother to speak to her daughter. Why would you be so cruel? Not a functional family, I've got that much. But still, not even a "hi"?" He smiled, the adrenaline pumping through his veins, sending fire through his eyes.

Though Cisca felt utter hatred for Sharder having seen him, She made no indication of it. "I'm sure you understand why this is, after all, you were the one who destroyed our family Sharder."
Cisca smiled as she saw Espira's reaction to the new knowledge. "I see he didn't tell you who he really is. Yes, this is the man who killed your father!'
Espira was taken aback entirely, the sudden surprise terrifying her momentarily. She stepped away from Storm and stared at him, then to Cisca in somewhat disbelief, but soon it registered in her mind. Cisca chuckled spitefully at Espira and said, "So why not come on over here now and help me kill this demon."
Espira stopped for a moment couldn't even force herself to move, all she could do was think, and that's what she did. Shadow stepped forward now and looked at Cisca. "I don't think you realize that you have no chance at all here. Just look at your throat," Shadow reminded her, interrupting the attacks on Espira, trusting his instinct when he met her that she wouldn't turn out of hatred on them.
Cisca's hand immediately went to her bruised neck before she even thought about it, but she caught herself and said, "You know you have no power under our seals here. You're going to die trying if you think that."

A soft laughter filled the air. "Come now, Cisca. You know I didn't kill your husband. But, if you want to keep throwing threats around here, then you should watch yourself, Cisca. My friends here may not have their full power, no, but their limited power doesn't seem useless against you, judging by your bruise. And, of course, let's not forget. You are forbidden to limit a king's power within your own territory. I have my full power." Flames burst from the corners of the rooms and an ominous thunder rolled within the room. His eyes became nothing more than red and his growl began to become definate as his body tried to change to Sharder. "Make your choice, Cisca. Will you let a king walk free from your castle with his friends, or will you try to keep him from his will and start a battle between two higher powers, which one like that hasn't been fought for ages and generations?"

Cisca chuckled lightly at Storm, though she wasn't quite so confident. "Well, If it's a fight you want..."
H stepped in front of her and said, "Let us handle this. He is no match for me anyways mother."
H held a smirk on his face, and let black, ashed wings tear from his back, feathered like an angle. A dark swirling power stirred from his side of the hall, and met with the blazing fire, the power seeping from the walls and floor. "You may have defeated my father, but you will never kill me," he yelled.
The other members of HEXOSS took lead behind him, each one ready for the fight. Crystal stepped up and said, "Fine, we'll just have to cut you all down then."
She pulled a spear from nothingness, her element not entirely stopped and took a fighting stance. "I'll be taking those back from you two after we finish with this one," Shadow stated, fury filling his body as he took his own stance and his own darkness filling the blade.
Espira stepped in front of them all, facing Storm and the others. "You'll not touch him," she said seeming to turn on them. She let her own wings, white and pure, but tainted demon wings rip from her back, claws growing as well as fangs. Her eyes shown brightly, the white power emitting from her, then she turned on her mother and said, "Because I'll take care of my own blood!"

Storm smirked and his eyes narrowed on Cisca. "You come here with your pitiful army. You challenge me for my territory and insult me by accusing me of murder of a queen's mate. I am still a king, whether I'm always sitting on my throne or not. You've marked a challenge to me." Fire flew up around him, blocking all vision from him, and it suddenly fell to his feet, revealing Sharder where Storm once stood. His fully crimson eyes with no pupil never left Cisca and they now burned with desire for blood. But for one person's blood. "Let it be heard from all reaches of this Earth, from the cold to the warm, from the wet to the dry, I accept your challenge, Cisca, until one of us may die." His voice echoed around the room as he spoke the traditional words of a battle of this great height. Indestructible bars fell from the walls to the floor, trapping everyone within the room. Then, another set came and fell, like a cage, that only entrapped Cisca and Sharder. They had to fight it out, since both have accepted the battle, with no aid from those outside. The other bars entrapped everyone else because, since Cisca accepted, her small army had to stay and, since Sharder accepted, his small army had to stay. Sharder's cold voice was heard, speaking to his side and to Cisca. "These bars will not lift until one of us has perished. If things get rough on your side, Shadow, let me know. I have a "secret weapon" of some sorts to aid you all. I, however, will receive no aid." At this, he glared at Cisca. "Not that I could. Let us begin, Cisca. You declared this battle. You start it. And my "magicians" will take care of your "HEXSS"."

The moment the battle was enacted, Shadow and Crystal felt the power of their elements fill their bodies. S&S didn't hesitate to haul off at Shadow. They came in on both sides at him with his own blades. Surprisingly enough, the both wielded darkness, but the moment they thought they had him, he vanished into a dark mist. With another mist, he came back behind them and dropped one with his heel, the other being swept off her feet.
He smiled over them as he felt his power coursing through his body, slowly becoming more and more. They sprung up unphased, and came at him again, wielding the dual daggers with darkness. They attacked and he vanished, but then they followed, beginning a chase of shrouds.
Crystal gripped her spear as X began at her, fists ablaze as he threw punch after punch at her. Crystal smiled as she felt the rush of battle all around her, letting her spear fly in jabs, both of them going back and forth in a battle, X unaware of her water element entirely.
Espira and H stared each other down, neither on making a move. "I don't want to fight you," Espira said flatly.
H smiled and said, "You always were afraid to fight me when we were younger. You'l cower again just like before, only father isn't here to save you this time."
Espira smile and shook her head in response. "She has you brain washed too. We both know father isn't dead."
Cisca hesitated none, letting her golden feathered wings tear from her back and shining light pooling around her to match Shader's darkness. "You will pay for Zakuro."
She held her hand to the sky and a sword of holy light took form in her hand. She gripped the elaborate handle and solidified the blade, then charged at Sharder, face cold as she hunted him.

Sharder smiled. "Where there is light, there is darkness." He vanished from her sight, reappearing in the air behind her, his demonic black wings out and keeping him hovering with ease. "Where light shines, shadows dance."He disappeared once more, not giving her a chance to go where he just was, reappearing right on her back as she flew, his voice whispering in her ear: "Tell me, Cisca. What are your shadows?" He let his claws rip out, long and venemous, and he scored them down her back between her wings, her blood splattering to the floor below them. "It is your blood I crave today, Cisca." He fell from her back, letting himself fall a good distance before he spread his wings wide and kept himself hovering again, licking the blood from his claws, his pupiless eyes on her with his famous smirk in place. "This is going to insulting if this is all you've got to show."
S&S finally paused briefly, sharing a grin with one another, before they vanished in chase of Shadow once more. One of them appeared slightly behind him, as they'd been doing this whole time, but the other appeared in front of him. With a shrill laugh, they showed a thin thread of darkness between them, each one holding an end. "Round and round and round it goes!" "Where it stops, nobody knows!" The disappeared and the thread swirled around Shadow again and again, with such speeds to match their element. Finally, he was encompassed in the thread and they both reappeared , each still holding an end, smiling at one another. They then dropped their ends. "Oops!" They spoke together as they smiled as him. The threads began hissing as they lifted themselves, along with Shadow, high up. The higher they got, the more the thread disappeared and S&S awaited with smiles as the two ends of the thread turned into sharp blades, spinning faster and faster as it unwound itself.
X laughed. "No wonder Sharder is willing to discard you! What use are you to him! You can't even hit me!" He lunged under her predicted attack and aimed his weapon for her stomach, which was unprotected.
Kiya stood by, watching, scared but feeling no real loyalty to anyone at the moment. She ran to a darkened corner, wanting to run away, her heart racing. As she ran, she caught Sharder's eye and he bit his tongue for forgetting this young girl was in here with everyone. He focused as she curled in herself, trying to make herself smaller and unseen, and he forced his power outside of the cage, which took an enormous amount of strength for him to do and could only succeed because he was sending power out of it and not in, and he used his power over fire, which allowed him slight power over shadows, to cover her in a calming darkness, to soothe her and to protect her. His darkness would allow none near her. Though at his own expense.

Cisca cringed as she herself floated and blood dripped from her back, but it quickly subsided as he skin healed over. "But tell me Sharder, where is your light. There cannot be a darkness with out light either," She said.
She saw him aiding the girl outside the cage and chuckled lightly. "She's so pitiful right?"
She flew at him again with her sword, only this time, she flew past him without even attacking. A gust of wind pulled behind her, dragging Sharder with it and she whirled around and slashed down on Sharder, catching his back easily. She then flew to the top of the cage and held her hand high. Golden lights formed needle like spears and she said, "I will find that light of yours, and I will destroy it too."

Shadow was slightly confused at their method of attack, but realized quickly it put him in danger. He focused his growing power on the thread of darkness and it suddenly stopped motion. "You'll have to do much better than that to get me," He said as it vanished, dropping him quickly to the ground.
He charged a dark mass around him, and when he plowed into the ground, it erupted outwards, blasting into the crazed twins. Shadow's eyes were glowing faintly as he looked at them both. "You still have my blades. I must take them from you if you please."

Crystal smiled at him as he attacked at her. water came from nothing to her rescue, freezing as the blade struck at her. She leapt nimbly away from his and the water followed her. More of it pooled and settled in the air around her. "If you think I'm so disposable, let's see you do something!"
On the last word, the droplets became frozen needles and zipped through the air at him, several piercing his skin before melting and returning to Crystal again. She took a stance again, now ready to fight seriously.

Espira watched Cisca a moment and looked to H. "Can't you see? She was never a violent person. She loved peace just like him. Something is wrong with her!" She said trying to convince him.
H shook his head saying, "Poor sheltered sister. Violence is life. That's how everything is."
He charged at her, darkness scorching into the stone as his dark energy, not shadows, burned. Espira put her wings up in defense, the punch he threw hitting her and shattering the stone around them with such force. Espira threw him back and rushed forward, anger burning in her white eyes. "That is what they fought against!"
She slashed his skin with her claws and spilled his blood. She stopped then, afraid of her strength and violence. H wheezed in pain as he healed quickly.

Sharder hissed in pain as her blade not only cut him but burned him, leaving a long scar along his back. He lost his control in the air and fell a little but caught himself, not wanting to use his wings as the cut would not stop burning. He pushed through it, anyway. His eyes narrowed and moved up to her. "She is not pitiful. She is young. And the only light I have, Cisca, is fire. Let me introduce it to you." The entire cage erupted with flames on the inside, none getting out, lifting up to surround each and every needle Cisca had created, the unneeded fire leaving. "Try hitting me with any of those needles. They'll be useless to you. Fire is loyal. But I am not." He forced through his pain and used his wings to push him up through the flame-layered needles and up to Cisca, the needles turning to point at her. "Would you like try them?" He let them loose, letting them fire on their creator. He continued his barrier of darkness around Kiya, letting pieces of his power leave him for her.
The twins hit the bars surrounding the room, one hitting her head and falling to the ground, unconscious. The other landed on her feet, anger and hostility rising in her as she now stood without her sister. She grabbed the other blade and glared at Shadow. "These blades? I dare you to come get them!" She hissed, lunging for him and jabbing one toward his throat.
X's eyes widened, then narrowed to hide his surprise. "Water, huh? Everyone always wonders what happens when water meets fire. Let's find out." Fire rose from the ground and danced before him, but there was a difference in his weilding it than of Storm's. There was no flames dancing in X's eyes, like Storm would have when he wielded his element. X also seemed to control his differently. Uncaringly. He swept his arm over the flames and they lept like a wave for Crystal, growing in size as it went.
