The moment stretched on for what seemed an eternity until the glow that had surfaced in Crystal's eyes began to fade and the water that had threatened Sharder began to recede to surround Crystal, still protecting her, but not threatening anymore. She had come back to her senses and sighed heavily as tension left her body. she saw the blood spikes that pinned him to the wall and quickly released him, letting the blood melt back to the floor.
She was upset that he had done that, but also that she couldn't keep control, and it showed as her eyes evaded his. The water that had been made began to dissipate into nothing and she only said with a slightly shaking voice, "I'm sorry," before sitting on the bed turned away from him.

Shadow awoke again with a headache, only this time he recognized where he was and what had happened. He tried again to manipulate his power, but found a new barrier blocking him from the inside as well as the outside. He was trapped with only his small knife and wits bout him.

Storm slid down the wall to where his feet touched the ground and allowed him to stand. His eyes sparked crimson. His claws and fangs stretched before him. Heat radiated from him. The tendrils of his hair danced in the heat, as did the old flames in his eyes. He smiled, a soft purr-like sound coming from deep in his chest, which he soon muffled away. In an instant, he was at Crystal's side, his hands on her shoulders, turning her to face him. "Thank you so much!" He bent and kissed her without a thought, then rising with a laugh and letting flames spark from his hands, tossing them into the air only to let them die away there. "Hahaha! I am fully alive again! And it's all thanks to you! And Shadow, of course. And half the credit goes to my wits." He winked at her in his enthusiastic sarcasm and he finally calmed down, putting on the barrier he always had on his emotions and letting himself become the Storm Crystal knew. He smiled at her. "It would make me depressed if you were to become sad when you have just freed me once more. Come, let us figure out where Shadow is. You walking at my side is dangerous, so walk a few steps behind me to show my dominance." He was instantly in front of her, lifting her chin gently. "Not that I truely possess any dominance over you. But for show." He rose. "Use telepathy to speak with me. I'll allow you into my mind, so it won't be as impossible as it usually is. Now, let's explore this place and study the shoulds and should nots and see if we can find any hints on Shadow's whereabouts, shall we?" He bowed mockingly, his famous smirk on his lips, his hand held out to her.

Though she was upset with his performance, she couldn't sustain it through his enthusiasm at his regained power. She wasn't sure what had happened, but what ever it was, he was back to normal. She finally nodded and took his hand saying, "Alright, let's do this then. It's better together anyways."

Cisca sat in her own throne room brewing over how to win against Storm and take his territory. Her hand was rubbing at the bruises left from Shadow's attack, though she didn't notice it. Finally she stared down one of the guards who stood at the entrance, until he felt the pricking of her crimson gaze on him. He turned and saluted. She grinned at her control here, then said, "Monitor everyone in the building who have entered after the arrival of our captive. Send this order to the Hexoss."
Without a moments hesitation the demon saluted, then rushed out, quickly replaced by another. He felt a shudder pass through him as the gaze lifted from him, but he knew he was walking into an equally dangerous place. He walked through the catacomb of a castle and, after walking down two flights of stairs, reached a single room at the and of a hall.
He gently knocked on the door and it came open swiftly, a choir voice following, cold as steel saying, "Enter, state your business, then leave."
He came in and peered into a dark room, the only light from the hall being sucked into the void of the room. "Her majesty has request that you monitor everyone who has entered since the captive arrived," He said as straightly as he could.
A dark silence followed that made him uneasy, and a pair of sanguine eyes opened and watched him. He felt terror and before he was asked, he left quickly.
The door closed and five more eyes appeared. H, a demon who lead the group of six, sat in a chair at a round table. The other five moved to sit with him. The place was dark, but their eyes easily worked through it. The elite assassins. "Who we are hunting must be dangerous if she is requesting our assistance," H said flatly.
S&S, twin demon sisters grinned saying in strange unison, "It'll be fun then."
H nodded and added, "Do get killed though. You know your orders. Move out."
At the command, H, E, X, O, and S&S all vanished, moving through secret passages to escape.

He smiled and winked at her. "I have a set of rules to follow when taking over someone's terrain. We're going to follow a few of those, alright?" He rose and led her with him, taking her out of the room after messing up her hair and disrupting her clothes about her body. "Perfectly hideous." He smiled. "Just a joke, dear." As they walked into the hall, he released her hand and scented the air. "Perfect." He walked down a few hallways, taking different turns, and ending up in a cafeteria, filled with demons walking to and fro about it. A few carried cups of blood, a few carried plates with different foods on it, among them being organs and other foods for the different assortment of demons residing here. "Everyone wants to talk over a little food. Also, no one is quite so grumpy with a full stomach. Just, uh, make sure I don't get too out of hand. I haven't drank in a good while and I don't trust where these "beverages" come from." He mentally chose a table and took her wrist, leading her, weaving between others and tables. He picked up an old tray and led her to a table, offering her a seat and putting the tray in front of her. "You don't really have to eat it. I wouldn't make you do that." The tray held half of a raw liver. He sat down beside her, the table full now that they sat. Everyone else at the table looked at the them but Storm seemed not to pay them any mind, his focus and eyes completely filled with Crystal. "This is all you're getting to eat. I wouldn't waste it, if I were you."
A demon across from them, a bulky and well-muscled demon with a good amount of tattoos and piercings, spoke up. "I haven't seen you two around here before." His voice was deep and unwelcoming.
Storm only allowed him a single glance. "I just brought this thing in today. As for me, I haven't seen you before, either. Shocker."
The man smirked and held out his hand. "Needles."
Storm returned the favor, taking the man's hand. "Storm."
The man glanced at Crystal. "Just got her today, huh?"
Storm nodded and played with a strand of Crystal's hair. "And just had her not 30 minutes ago."
"Ya know what I do for each one I can bring in that I'm proud of?"
"What?"
He pointed at the tattoos and piercings he had. "Each one in honor of, well, each one." He laughed and rose. "Come with me, I'll give ya one for free. Next time I'll charge, though."
Storm suddenly seemed to lose face of his act. "Uhm, I..." He cursed himself inwardly. Obviously I should have been more careful in my choices, here. I reject him, now, or else I won't be able to climb and get people on my side. He rose. "Come along, girl." He began following the man, nervousness flowing through him but beautifully hidden, except, as always, in his eyes.

Crystal didn't dare look anyone in the eyes, keeping her head down and her eyes hidden. She wasn't sure if Storm would really get a tattoo at this point, and wondered how far he would go to help save Shadow. As they walked down the hall, a demon with strange, short cut, dark green hair and cat like green eyes seemed to glide by them. X, his name though unknown to them, glanced over the three of them as he passed, his eyes grabbing at every detail of them as he moved along, then quickly past to the cafeteria.
Crystal felt a strangeness off of him but let slip off her like water. She didn't want to draw attention to herself, and every look felt like piercing daggers as she walked through the halls. She resisted the urge to wander around or too close to Storm.

They were led to a room filled with different drawings all over the walls and different types of chairs and beds...and different kinds of sets of needles. Storm swallowed before he stepped in. "Quite a collection you've got, here."
The man beamed. "Isn't it? It's all my work. Everyone who wants a tattoo or piercing all come here and I make a good living off the money I get. I over charge, I admit, but like I said, yours will be free. So, which do you want? Piercing or tattoo? No no, you definately need a piercing. Everyone needs a piercing."
Storm cleared his throat. "I've, uhm... already got one." He seemed reluctant to say so and the man looked at him.
"Where, then?"
A red sweep of embarassment went over Storm's cheeks. "Uh..." He pointed to his chest.
The man laughed. "Now that you say it, I can see it through your shirt. Very nice! Then tattoo it is! Pick one!"
Nervousness took over the embarassment. "Ya know, there's so many great designs here, I'd have to have some time to think on which one I want, where I want it, ya know, that kind of thing. Don't wana make a mistake."
"Nonsense! If you think on it, you'll make a mistake! You have to choose in the here and now, what your mind needs right now." He walked over to one and pulled it off the wall. "This one's perfect, I just know it is. Here, sit in this seat." He pointed to a chair where you sat and leaned over the back of it, making your back easy to get to.
A slight shiver ran down Storm's spine, but he went to sit down, making his body appear relaxed, but his eyes swarming with fears. "Shadow had better know he means something to me, for damn sake." He swore at Crystal, then noticed her unease, finally, being able to look at her face without having to worry about questions from others. "Are you alright?" He winced as a needle was started up once a color was added to it.
"Take off your shirt, man."
Storm sighed and removed his shirt, his piercing on his left nipple becoming visible, a smaller hoop with a black ball on each end. He then leaned over the chair, looking back at Crystal, more than just concern in his eyes for her. He depended on her as a distraction for him right now.

Crystal held concern for Storm as she watched his pain, careful not to let the other demon see her. As best should could, she spoke to him through telepathy. That man we passed on the way here with the green hair. He isn't right, and I felt like her was dissecting me in his mind or something. The thoughts were on her face as she said this. She tried to look at him, feeling for him and wincing slightly as she imagined the cold steel needle at her own skin.
She became lost in thought, but only for a moment as she felt the her skin raise. Something prickling at the back of her neck that came closer, but she dare not turn around to see it. Moments later another demon two demons, twin sisters, walked into the tattoo shop. They silently analyzed everything, ignoring Crystal as a person, but listing her in their minds as new. After a moment watching, one of them spoke up saying, "Before you start his tattoo, we need to speak with you." This was directed at the tattoo artist.

Storm kept his eyes on her, curiosity making him frown. "We'll keep an eye on him, then. He sounds like he should be the next target we get on our side." He looked up as the two twins entered.
The man shook his head. "No way! I've already gotten it outlined and halfway colored in! I just have the other half, can't you wait?" He growled, but as he looked up to see who it was, he put the needle down and rose. "Coming." He walked outside with the twins, shutting the door softly behind him, giving a hiss of contempt from his work being interrupted.
Storm didn't even move when the man left. He sat there, his eyes showing his mind was in a memory from long ago. He flinched as the memory played in his head and the pain of it showed through his stiff body, the fear in his eyes, begging anyone to pull him away from whatever he saw.

Hushed whispers could be heard through the door, but nothing audible as they spoke with him. Crystal felt the tension ease slightly when they closed the door. For the first time since entering she could look directly at Storm. More people I don't like. This place is crawling with them. How are you doing. She raised a hand toward him as if to touch his skin, but stopped, dropping it back to her side. She fought the urge to fix her clothes, the only thing that truly disguised her at the moment.
After a while, the twins foot steps echoed down the halls and faded rapidly, followed by the tattoo artist returning. It was clear that whatever had just taken place didn't not settle well with him, whether anger or fear.

Storm did not reply to her but also did not move when the tattooist returned to his spot, resuming his work. "Those two. Those two are ones you don't wana get involved with right there. They're always starting trouble, just because they know they're strong enough to get away with it. You two better watch out. They're searching for someone. They say the guy is pretty dangerous but they don't know what he looks like. They've never met him. Don't do something to get caught up in that mess. I like you. I'd hate to bury you."
Somewhere during this conversation, Storm's mind had come back to the present and he nodded, though a smile of triumph danced in his eyes. "I'll keep that in mind. I don't have much reason to associate with them, anyway."
The artist nodded and scooted his chair back, a smile touching his face again. "There we are! Perfect, if I do say so myself!" He pulled down Storm's shirt and pulled up Storm's pants slightly from where he'd pushed them down. "Now, no one gets to see that unless they're in bed with you. It's a "tramp stamp". I thought it suited you well in your sex games." He was beaming with pride in his work.
Storm rose, biting back a hiss from the soreness he felt, especially with his shirt and pants rubbing against it. He forced a smile and shook Needles' hand. "I'm very much obliged. I'll be sure to try to get you some more business. A guy with such a keen eye deserves more customers."
Needles smiled broadly. "Thank you, Storm! I'll see you tomorrow?"
"At lunch. Absolutely." He smiled.
"And your pet will be free game by then, I'm sure?" His eyes sparked with anticipation.
Storm nodded. "As free as trash." They both laughed and Storm took Crystal by her wrist, leading her out of the room, shutting the door behind them, and walking down the empty corridor.
Storm hissed. "A damn tattoo. I swear, if I ever have to sit through that again, not everyone is going to be able to leave the room before it's even started." He let his grip on Crystal's wrist fall and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they walked, feeling her insecurities. "Back to the room? Please?" He added with a slight tinge of pain in his voice. "I've got to get these clothes off."

She nodded slightly, tense with the fear of being discovered and not even daring to speak aloud. She knew she could help to sooth his pain with her power, but worried about the effects being that it was water that healed in her technique. She glanced around to make sure it was safe and whispered, "The sooner the better."

Shadow had been idle for far too long and could feel the sun going down despite his lack of light. He stood and kicked the door several times before he heard a guard bang on the door in reply and yelling, "Quit all that noise or I'll come in there and knock you out again!"
That's just what he wanted now. the freedom of the open door was the only thing since the seal wouldn't be in effect outside the cell. "Why don't you try it?" He tempted, kicking the door again. The guard didn't respond and Shadow just stood there kicking until his foot throbbed. Finally though, the guard fiddled with the keys until the door clicked open. "Alright! I'll teach you..."
Shadow backed up against the wall and let the guard enter, then charged head long at him and headbutted his way out. The demon toppled back, the wind knocked from him and before he could scramble to his feet and pull his short sword, Shadow dropped his heel through the throat, killing the enemy instantly.
Shadow then awkwardly grabbed the short sword and cut the rough rope bonds he was bound by. He dragged the body back into the room and locked the door with stolen keys to hide it. He was now free, but totally exposed with only a short sword and his element, if he could use it here. He tested the darkness, but the magic spread through the building, limiting his control over it. Powerful magic indeed, but he would make do.

He led them into the room and before the door was even shut, he had his shirt removed. He took it off over his head and immediately laid on his stomach on the bed, pulling his pants down enough to uncover the tattoo that lay there.
It was a pair of wings with an orb in the middle. The orb was cut in half, half of it beautifully lit with no shadows within it, while the other half was utterly black with no hint of light. The wings matched their sides of the orb. The wings on the lighted side were glowing, seemingly, and were filled with brilliant colors while the wings on the darkened side were black, the feathers of these wings outlined in a gorgeous blue.
Storm laid his head on his arms, scratching the back of his neck with unease. "Fucking hate needles....pieces of shit, that's what they are....what the hell is the point of a tattoo or piercing, anyway?"

Crystal fixed her hair and clothes back into somewhat of an order before picking up his shirt and laying it on the bed beside him. She looked at him and smiled seeing the tattoo. "It matches you though. A darkness that consumes everything, but a light side that shines through."
She sat next to him and said, "when we get out of this place maybe you will like it more." She let her hand skim his arm gently to sooth his great irritation. "Well, at least we know what things are looking like out there. not really safe for anyone, and they are already after us maybe."
Crystal sighed deeply and stared at the image on his back, red with the pain and swelling only slightly. she admired the great work and realized too that it represented not only Storm, but Needles too, and the world. Despite the grave darkness that was in existence, the light was there too.

Shadow stayed in the room searching through cells to find all of them empty. He couldn't locate his gear and sigh inwardly. Finally giving up for now he moved to the hall where he had traveled before. It was clear of any guards much in his favor, and he crept slowly to the left where he didn't hear voices coming from, making sure the cells were all in order when he left. Around the corner he found a stair well going up and took it quickly, the voices rounding the corner behind him.
At the top he was greeted with a door, and just beyond it were people bustling idly by. He was trapped between the door and the still progressing guards., and very few options left to him

Storm sighed then a soft laugh came from him. "I'm someone who couldn't hate needles more than anything, besides maybe healers, and yet I'm the one with both a piercing and a tattoo." He sighed again and sat up, sitting beside Crystal. "I'm sure I'll find some way to like it, even though its symbolism of being a whore rings true." He then kissed Crystal's forehead. "You're not showing the strain it's putting on you, but I know you're going through a lot by experience and I want you to know you're doing a great job, Crystal." He rose and kept his pants slightly pulled down. He looked at the shirt with a grimace. "Work needs to be done. Sorry, but I'll be doing it only half-clothed." He took her hand kindly and helped her up. He then proceeded to mess up her looks. "I know you don't like it, deary, but it's a must. This time, though, we want you to stay more unnoticed than I am. I'm going to continue making allies. We're going to need a lot if this comes down to a war. I want you to do something this time, though. I need you to find hints of Shadow's whereabouts. Can you do that without getting caught?" He messed her hair, this time in a friendly manner. "I know you can. If you need me, call for me telepathically. I know you're not good at using that, but if you can even muster a whisper to me, I'm trained well enough to hear. Be safe, dearest." He walked out of the room without her, going down a hall.

Crystal stood in the room staring after him until he walked away his words ringing in her mind, and blush on her cheeks. She shook her head violently and clenched her fists to clear her mind. She set herself steady and reminded herself who she was. Elemental Arcane Crystal. Crystal looked out the room before she left, but knew there was no time for hesitation.
As she crossed the halls and people passed her, hey seemed to pay as much attention to her as a speck. She was blending perfectly. She wandered around slowly gathering a better sense of the lay out and listened carefully to any conversation she could. At one point she passed by guards who said quietly, "You know I heard they sent out that creep squad because of that prisoner."
Another place she found that the gates had been closed in a search, no one in, and no one out, leaving everything rather under maned. She had found the cafeteria again and steered clear of it, as well as the tattoo shop. She was on a main hall where most of the traffic was and found rows of different doors, some wooden and some steel or iron. Those of metal were locked by keys. As best she could, she made mental notes of everything, unsure what would go where, but basing her analysis of the open rooms. The large rooms where all in the front, and further down the hall were the other branches. A wooden door for stairwell and a steel door with what she assumed was a stairwell also. At the end where three more metal doors that she assumed were of importance being locked.
With little she could do to bypass the locks in such view, she turned down into the stairwell and wandered around, finding two more stairs and explored more, hoping to find something of importance.

Shadow had no other choice but to move up the next stairwell, hiding in the shrouds that flickering torches provided. I this section of the building there wasn't much sunlight, but he found the next level up with more natural light. With lithe movements he moved upwards till he reached the highest floor. there was only one door here and only one way to go. He glanced behind him and thought it strange to be so under maned right now.
The door was an elaborate oak door and locked tight. He flipped the knife from between his shoulder blades, his pick locks still missing, and began working at the lock.

Storm wandered aimlessly, keeping an eye out for anyone who struck him as having a good hold on the others' sense of loyalties. At each one he found, he found a way to steal their trust from them. This was an easy job, for someone of his rank has done it many times. When a king cannot rule just by fear from the people, he had to find a different way to do so. And, judging solely on the huge amount of territory he possessed which seemed so famous right now, he was not bad at his job.
He came across many different kinds of demons, some so disgusting he wanted nothing to do with them, not even be within 100 miles of their presence, but he forced himself to go and do whatever was needed because he did not know what he would need, how many he would need, and if he even needed them. But he would never go unprepared.
Finally, when he had had enough to socializing, something it did not take a scientist to figure out he didn't like doing, he strayed away from the busy hallways and stayed to the ones where he found no one to be. He took comfort from the solitude and just let himself wander around these hallways, wanting to give Crystal more time. He began noticing the different kinds of doors and he began getting curious what each one hid behind it. He smiled and the claws on his right hand lengthened. "I have the time to burn." He went to different doors, especially interested in the metal heavily locked ones he found, and unlocked each one he got the urge to go into. He began getting bored, finding no one behind each and nothing of any interest, not even any valuables, just what looked like different interrogation rooms to him, since he had worked in that line of work for a time. He smiled at the memories he had where he held the power and was held by no laws to what he could do to those he interrogated. He then cringed at his own smile.
He sighed and walked from the room he'd just been in. "It's like I can never make up my mind." He then paused and touched the sore spot on his back. "Crystal was right. That does incorporate me well." He continued walking down the hallways, and finally came to a hallway with as many doors as all the others had been, but all of these were made of oak and decorated, but still locked. His eyes gleamed. "This is where valuables would be. If I'm gonna get allies, here, I'm going to need money." He began picking the first lock he found.

Crystal wandered around for a while longer until she picked up from the guards as to the general where-a-bouts of the prison cells. She felt chills down her spine as she eavesdropped, feeling a cold stare far too close to her. She didn't whirl around like instincts drove, but continued forward slowly and as suspicious as she could before she glanced back. There was a man with very placid eyes and a relaxed expression, purple iris's undulating gently in his eyes as he spoke with another woman, her hair long and deep, maroon. They spoke it silent tones, but it was enough for their trained ears to catch. That was the fourth and fifth strange character she had seen. The man was O, the woman E, and both had a wide berth around them as they stood against the walls. She brushed against another demon while watching E and when she looked up to apologize and her eyes met crimson death. His fangs showed in his smile which might have been gentle, only it was malicious and cruel. "Sorry," She murmured trying to go around him.
He, however, would be letting her escape. He grabbed her around gently and pulled her to him. "I'm H. Haven't seen you around before. That could be dangerous."
She Held her self steady, but not to confident to keep attention from her still. "I don't get out much. I uh, haven't been well."
H stared into her eyes, delving as deep as he could into her soul and past, but the shrillness of her ice stopped him from within. He noted her and then released her roughly as O and E called him over. "Get out of my sight!" he snarled before leaving her.
Quickly, Crystal scrambled back to her room, unsure what would happen next, but not staying to find out. She got in the room and closed the door quickly, snapping the lock shut behind her.

Shadow was fiddling with the lock on his door when he heard the sound on the other side of someone opening the door. With only second to think, he leapt back and flipped the short sword like a dagger and took a stance, charging the blade with as much element as he could muster and waited to attack, hoping his foe would hold keys that fit these doors, unlike the ones he stole for the cell doors.

The door clicked unlocked and Storm rose, rolling his eyes. "These doors are too easy. And I snuck in here. Me, of all people. They really should rethink their security." He laughed and opened the door, his eyes going wide as he saw who stood behind it. "Shadow?" He couldn't stop a soft laugh, being in a good mood because of the new jingles heard from his pockets. "I send Crystal to look for you while I go about stealing and I'm the one who finds you in the process." He leaned against the wall. "Should I be worried about your stance you're holding against me? How did you get here in the first place?" His eyes widened a moment and he straightened. "If I found you, then where is Crystal?" He studied Shadow for a moment, seeming to snap back into the seriousness of why he was even here. "Someone's chasing you." He stated, finally getting back on the right page. He grabbed Shadow's wrist and jerked him out of the room, closing the door behind him and locking it back himself, not letting go of Shadow's wrist, and darting down the hallways, knowing them well by now, knowing which ones were empty. He got them to the room without running into a soul, only to turn the door to find it locked. He moved to unlock it, then paused. If she was scared enough to lock it, I don't want her to get riled up. He knocked gently on the door. "Crystal, it's me, Storm. I have Shadow. Unlock the door for me, please?" He used a cooing voice, a voice he only used to soothe to get his way, but in this case he was using it to comfort. "Come on, Crystal. Everything's going to be ok."

Shadow was lead wildly by Storm, trying to map where they were going in his mind to little avail. Finally they had reached the "home base" Storm and Crystal had set and sighed with relief that they were both alright. He felt sharp eyes on him, but a glance around showed no one in sight.
Crystal was meditating easily on the edge of the bed, clearing her mind and trying to grasp her power and ease her mind when she heard Storm. She moved quickly to the door and stopped saying, "When I open the door, get in here fast. I don't know what exactly is going on, but I think I got us caught."
She clicked the lock and opened the door wide, grabbing Storm by the wrist and snatching him and Shadow into the room before closing the door again and snapping the lock shut. She sighed again, glad no one else had gotten in, but not relishing that Shadow was back quite yet. "Those strange ones that we found are looking for us now. I ran into one and I know he found me. He tried to get to me...through my eyes or something, but he knows, and told the other I'm sure," Crystal explained sitting back on the bed.
"And also, I can't use my element much. Something is wrong."
"It's a spell. The have the whole building under it. The queen did that because of me I'm sure. I have the same problem, and not to mention my affects are missing," Shadow explained checking himself and the room with roaming eyes.
A knock came at the door and the liquid voice of O seeped through the door to the. "The queen wishes to speak with you again Shadow. 'Maybe your friends here can show me the way to the demon king Storm,'" O said quoting her message.

Storm looked at Shadow with a question in his eyes, but he dared not speak it allowed, nor through his telepathy, assuming Crystal was right in their abilities to read minds. They know I'm here, they just don't know who I truely am. I'm so glad I- He cut himself off. He forced his thoughts to go elsewhere, just in case Crystal was to be right. He didn't want his own mind read. He calculated a moment. Crystal and Shadow were both short on power right now. But he held different powers from them and he had been able to use his earlier just fine. This was just one enemy. And, though he hated admitting it, he was a king. He knew he had made enough allies should it come to a war.
He sighed inwardly at what he was about to do. Powers he was about to use, that were bestowed to him by birthright, that he never used. The power that made him a king.
A soft growl eminated from deep within his chest and he indicated for Crystal and Shadow to both back away. He stretched his mind and, making sure no one else was at the door but O, he tested his powers, just to make sure he hadn't been wrong earlier. He used his power to turn the lock on the door without moving from the spot he now stood. It clicked unlocked. He crouched low, the lights in the room flickering until it went pitch black, his own crimson eyes all that could be seen until the door was opened. His growl got deeper, louder, more animal-like, one that did not match him. He put himself on the brink of changing, not wanting to change until he thought he had to, waiting to see what this being could actually do. His voice was not his own when he spoke. "Come in."
