Shadow straightened up and sheathed his daggers. "How about you go and Crystal go scout out the land a little, figure out where we'll go. I'll stay here and erase our tracks."
Shadow set about trying to clean out the area as Crystal lead her search with Storm into the the woods. He glanced at Storm and then looked to Narasu, who most likely knew that was going on here with Storm's sudden change in behavior.

"Sounds fun!" He hurriedly caught up with Crystal, his excitement barely contained. "Which way do you want to go? North? West? South? East is boring." His attention span seemed to be slipping as he didn't bother to listen for an answer.

Narasu glanced at Shadow, going to explain. "Storm wasn't always the Storm you know. And Sharder isn't exactly the horrible scary demon deep within him. Storm is what became once he got his powers. His powers forced him to have control, or else he could accidentally burn a whole village to the ground. He never wanted his powers, but they did make him a more reliable person. Without his powers to force him to be responsibile and pay attention to everything, always being on edge, he was quite an excited fellow. Now, take all the years he hasn't been able to be that because he's had to control what he had. That is what your seeing. The longer it takes to get his powers back, the worse he'll get. He wasn't bad before his powers, but all of the built up years will hit him at once and that will probably be worse than handling a child. But, for now, this is just Sharder. Not Storm." He rose and swept his tail over the land, helping Shadow clean up tracks.

Crystal put up with his strange energy as searched going north from their position and looking to see what she could find, hoping to find a nice source of water. There was a dry stream bed, but she thought it worth looking into, not straying to far from the camp site.
"Well, I'm trying my hardest for him. Maybe one day he'll be back to Storm. Either way, it won't be too bad if he isn't trying to bite our heads off." Shadow made this last comment playfully but then remembered about Sharder not eating the previous night and began to ponder this, is thoughts touching on a dark spot of his memory that he just couldn't seem to recall.
As the thought, Shadow and Narasu finished up clearing and Crystal returned, relaying her information about the stream bed that they could travel along. "So, what do you think?"
"Sounds like the best plan we have. Let's go."

Sharder was quite excited. "Finally! A plan of action!" He sighed with relief that they could be moving, tilting his head back as he did so. "Hey! You think I could still climb those?!" He ran to a tree without an answer and hoisted himself into it using nothing but his strength. "Oh, this is gonna be so much fun!" He grabbed onto a branch of the next tree and swung over to it. "Come on, let's go!" He started going from tree to tree, of course a lot slower than usual without his abilities to aid him, but making it all the way, keeping the walking pace the ones below him held.

Crystal and Shadow walked beneath him at a brisk pace. Shadow was slightly lost in thought as he walked beside the trail, no true plan of action bringing back memories from before he was Elemental Arcane, to times when he had to scrape by to survive.
Crystal though, was focused on the overly excited Sharder, slightly irritated by his constant energy, but happy to see him actually enjoying himself for. Maybe she could get used to him like this of a while. "Don't hurt yourself Sharder," Crystal called up into the trees.
After traveling a long ways, the sound of water could be heard. Somewhere ahead, a live stream flowed to the dead one, pushing them from the trail to the side of the bed.

He suddenly dropped down from the higher of branches and landed on a much lower one, hanging upside down right in front of Crystal, his hands falling to her shoulders so she wouldn't run into him. He smiled brightly. "It'd be much more fun if you joined me!" His eyes glowed brightly with excitement. His attention was easily captured by the sound of rushing water. "Hey, a stream! You've been wanting to find one, haven't you? It sounds like it's coming from that way!" He used one of his hands from her shoulders and pointed in the direction the stream was in, but didn't realize how much her shoulders had been giving him support. He lost his grip with his legs and came crashing to the forest floor, landing on his left arm, giving a hiss of pain. "I knew I was forgetting something...."

Crystal giggled slightly at his antics as she helped him from the ground. "Yes, I have been hoping for one. I'm going to go splash around a bit. Anyone want to join me?"
Shadow shrugged it off saying, "I'll pass. I'm not as much all about getting soaked."
Crystal shrugged and moved ahead towards the sound of water calling back, "Maybe we can follow the stream to find something good," Then she vanished ahead, shortly followed by a splash as Shadow chuckled lightly.

Storm followed her to the water's edge, not touching it, not knowing if it would be a good idea since it never had been before. He watched her go in and he watched the light ripples roll up near his feet and his eyes glimmered with interest as he watched the waters swirling and hiding what was beneath it. He'd never gotten to enjoy water and he rarely got so close. He was amazed to see how beautiful it seemed. "Can I touch it?" He asked out loud.

Shadow walked up beside Sharder and put a hand on his shoulder, just before Crystal surfaced again right in front of them. "It's not that deep, and quite warm from what I thought," She said, but then added, "It doesn't hurt, just like fire doesn't burn, but don't be too hasty."
She let the water lap gently over her body, only chest height, but the water seemed to almost flow to her against the gentle current that tried to carry on down stream.
Shadow smiled at her and stepped back from Sharder, not wanting to get splashed. "I'll just take a glance around," He said, flicking a dagger from its sheath and toying with it in his right hand, whistling as he went about the area.

He seemed hesitant then he crouched down, his eyes going from Crystal, back to the water. He lowered his hand to it and, pausing midway, he slowly put his hand in the water, curiosity filling his eyes along with nonunderstanding. He moved his hand under the water, confusion crossing his eyes. "I never thought it'd feel like this...." He said softly, looking out into the deeper waters, wondering if he would be safe if he went in them.

Crystal vanished below the surface again, the only evidence she was ever there, a ripple the faded in the current. She resurfaced again within moments, the water matting her hair slick to her face and neck. Her eyes were a tantalizing, pristine blue, radiating with power, happiness, and excitement as she floated in her own element. "It's magnificent isn't it," She said happily to him.
"So much beauty," She said, then for a moment, her power grew dark as she added on, "And yet so powerful."
She paddled closer to him, and lifted herself from the water to the edge then smiled at his amazement.
Shadow was scouting ahead through the forest, steering away from the direction they had come and would go, more analyzing the surrounding forest, the peace of nature washing over him as he could no longer sense the two from his distnace. He heard something shuffle above him, and just as he snapped to his senses, he realized someone was above him. He ripped his second dagger from it's sheath just as a large canvas fell over his head. He lashed out and cut a gash in the side of the material like it was paper, but the his movement was constricted. He forced his daggers back into their slots and began to gather shadow, then a thud to the head, and everything went black for him.

He met her gaze. "Can I try?" He asked, indicating her swimming in the water, the water reaching to her shoulders before. He wanted to see what it felt like, since he'd rarely come in contact with water before and when he did, it'd only been to harm him or he was fighting someone with an element of water. Considering fire and water were enemies(in most eyes), he didn't really expect anything different but, for now, he was fireless and he didn't know what to expect.

Crystal nodded her head happily and said, "Of course. just be careful not to go under. The currents are far stronger than I make them seem."
She slid her water soaked body back down and in front of Sharder to help him down. She held her hands out for his, making sure to weaken the current where he would enter. "I think you'll like it," She added as a thought, seeing the curiosity deep in his eyes and all through out his body.

He couldn't hide the nervousness that came to his eyes but he hesitantly put his hands in hers, slowly going into the water, feeling it soak through his pants and make them cling to his body. He grimaced at this feeling and paused. He nervously took his hands from hers and used them to pull his shirt over his head, throwing it over to one of the nearer trees, then took her hands again, going down so the water was at his chest. He shivered. "This feels weird."

"I guess when you think about it, it's like sinking into the earth and letting it lap over you. Kind of strange."
She averted her eyes slightly from his shirtless body, but said, "I'll pull the water off you when we are done. It's how I stay dry."
She gently pulled him from the edge and safety of the bank towards the center, never letting his hands go. "Just close your eyes and let it roll over you, sooth your muscles and troubles away," She said as she closed her eyes, getting slightly lost in the feeling herself

He gave a shiver, not from the feeling of the water on his skin, this time, but more because of what she asked him to do. He always hated being given such tasks. To him, it was as if asking him to give his life into someone else's hands, an extreme trust. He pushed that thought from his mind. She's doing it, it must be ok.... He took a deep and silent breath and closed his eyes, feeling his senses crash down on him and making him feel closed in, the water on all sides of him. He tried talking to himself in his mind to calm himself down but it was to no use, he was not used to this and he could not bear to stand it, his claustrophobia setting in on him, making him begin to panic. His eyes shot open and he felt a little better, seeing the wide forest around them. He still didn't want the water on him, though, holding him in. This wasn't unnatural, though, as it was in his nature to dislike water. He squeezed Crystal's hand slightly. "I want to go back on shore, please."

Crystal nodded slightly but didn't open her eyes. With no movement at all, she let her control of the water expand and suddenly, the water around them parted, leaving none touching Sharder and a clear path back to the bank they had come from, but she remained, enjoying the water while she still could before they would have to leave the trail, if they did leave the trail.

Storm glanced at her, then to the path, wishing he had his powers so he could just speed across the new path for fear of it crashing in on him. He did not have his powers, though, and so he released her hand and took a step forward then pausing, making sure it wouldn't set the water to crash down. Seeing it didn't, he nervously crossed in a hurried pace, leaping onto the land and feeling much more at ease once he made it.

Once he was clear of the river, she let the water gently collide back and flow again freely. She opened her eyes as she swirled around with it and said, "See? Not so evil."
She made a quick sweeping moment over him and the water that was soaking Sharder's body and pants was pulled free, leaving him dry. "We can set back out once Shadow gets back from his little excursion.

He felt much more comfortable once the water was off of him. He rubbed his arm. "I wish he'd hurry. I don't wana just stay in one spot." He muttered, walking farther from the water to lean against a tree, his earlier energy seeming to have been lost.
