Shadow raised an eyebrow at Storm. "That's because they are not allies, much less friends. I will help you when you are down. All of us will," He said indicating Himself, Crystal, Aeroth, and Narasu. "I don't have to gain anything either, but If you aren't weakened right now, how about you fight me?" Shadow casually drew his left dagger and stood easily, watching Storm. |

His soft growl vibrated in his chest. "Are you saying I can't even hold my own against you?" The defensiveness burned in his tone, regardless that he held no power over fire, currently. He forcefully pushed himself off of Narasu, though teetering and subtly using Narasu to hold him up. He glowered at Shadow as he balanced himself in a simple fighting stance, his crimson eyes unable to portray the intensity of his anger. "I'll gladly fight you and I'll have no problem with it." |

Shadow smiled and sheathed his dagger. "All you need is a little egging on it seems." Shadow waved his hand fluidly over Storm and flames were cast into Storm's body, giving him his abilities back temporarily. "I can help you get back your fire, just as I can grant it to you in this world, but you have to let me help and allow your self to rely on our help, because you can't go through everything on your own." Shadow gave a gentle but stern smile as he held his hands wide in a gesture of openness. |

The releif showed in his muscles as the fire entered and spread throughout his body. He visibly relaxed, finding the warmth he was so familiar with and used to having. He let it burn through him, coursing through his frozen veins, warming the venom that swam through them. The red in his eyes flared once again, leaving the dim red behind and letting the beautiful crimson pull through. These eyes fell on Shadow and narrowed. "There is nothing in this world that I need from you or anyone else to help me with. The only reason I need you right now is because I screwed up and made a wrong move. So tell me what I have to pay you in return for this." His voice was vile but his eyes told a story the words did not. They were scared, being able to feel now what was ripped from him. Insecurities flowed through him. He had to rely on someone else for something? He hated that feeling rushing in his head. Relying on someone else. That someone else could let him down or leave him to die at any moment, on any whim. "If it's money you'd like, I could keep you as rich as you can keep me heated." |

"I don't want money, I'm doing this to help you. You say you don't need anything from anyone else, but you should accept my help. I'm not here to fight, to hate, to taqke away from you what so many have. I'm trying to be here for you," Shadow said trying to get Storm to understand. "Do you henestly think that I or any of us would be here for our own personal gain? What is it you think I benifit myself by helping you? All this is is torture on myself, but I endure it to help you, just as I'd do for AEroth, Crystal, or even Narasu. You have to trust me, and for once you just have to rely on someone else, because I'm the only thing you have left here." Shadow was beggining to lose his paitence as maintaining this realm they were in made of shadows was draining his physical, non-arcane body and ability. Without his full potential, he grew weaker by the moment, but his will stayed strong as he continued. He didn't want to resort to using more power than he had intended to, but the thought had begun to to form in his mind as Storm resisted his plights for honest help, trying to get his fire back as well. |

Storm's glare seemed like it would not waver, but submissiveness finally set into them as he felt his natural demonic sense of dominance slip out from under him, something he was used to and comfortable in feeling and only knowing pain if he lost this dominant field. He took a step back, lowering his head slightly and looking up at Shadow. "What do you want from me...." His power in his voice and words no longer existed. |

"I want what you want. You to have your fire back, but you don't have it. I want you to accept and rely on my help just like you are right now. I can't maintain this world we're in much longer, but if you trust me, you can get your real fire back," Shadow said. His dark grey eyes began to glow with a sort of power, getting slightly lighter and becoming prominent in the light. The wind in the existing area began to blow as dark shadows began to raise off of shadow, who began to give into the power of the arcane until Storm had his fire. |

"And how do you expect that to happen, huh? How do you expect me to stay warm until then? Alive? I'm utterly useless if we get attacked by even a soulless criminal. And there's no way to get my fire back. There's no hope of it. Because I'm a poor leader, I lost my privilege of it. Whatever plan you have in your mind, I'm not following it." Regardless of how he tried, he was unable to get his smiteful tone back in his voice, his loss of hope stealing it away from him. |

Shadow collapsed to one knee as he struggled, until he finally caved. He closed his eyes and the world around them faded to shadows, blackness the only thing they could see. The darkness reached up and violently began whipping around him in dark mists and reaches. It grew ever more until finally it shattered and dispered outward, blowing powerfully over everyone. Aeroth simply put one wing over himself and Crystal to block the intense wind and then shadow stood there in arcane power. His eyes glew a horrid and dangerous white, piercing color. He hair came down the same as before but now had unnatural white tips. his clothes were also the same, but had white, twisted, wicked thorn spined designs running all over. His daggers had changed but remained concealed in their sheaths, the only visible part the umber crystal sent in the hilt. He looked and Storm with his new eyes and said, "Storm, you just have to trust in me. I have the power to help you, and you only have to rely on me." He let the created dimension shatter back into the real world, the dark coldness insueing as reality returned, and Storms fire leaving as Shadow no longer had control of the fabrics, but the heat was now retained in a shadow case of power that surrounded Storm for the moment, the cold air not penetrating but the heat not leaving either, keeping Storm secure. |

Storm looked at him doubtfully but finally spoke. "I have never relied on anyone but Narasu before. I've never had to. So, don't expect me to be able to do this. If you know me well enough to offer this for me, then you know I've never done this before. Tell me, have you ever had to rely on someone? They always let you fall." His eyes showed his mixed emotions of fear, defensiveness, and yet submissiveness as if he were fighting an inward battle. Narasu laid under him, breathing slowly, listening to everything, but saying nothing so as not to drop any of the hints he wished he could for his master. |

Shadow glared at storm with his white eyes and said, "I will give you one more chance. Trust me. I am helping you now, not for any gain of my own, not for land or riches, but for you as a fallen person in need. I can help you, but you must first help yourself." Aeroth looked at them as well as crystal, both realizing that Shadow was at his end with patience. Shadow let the shrouded barrier around Storm fall slightly, bringing in the chill for outside only a slight amount, but enough. "Shardder. I know your secrets. I've seen your past. There is no need to worry so much about this. You know you can, you just have to let yourself for once." |

Storm looked at him, his eyes dim with doubt, his body hesitant to move at all. His confident voice shook with nervousness. "Fine. I'll try. What do you expect me to do, then, Shadow." He hissed the name but also tried keeping his voice willing. "Again, I've never done this before, so I don't know what's exactly expected of me for it." |

Shadow wasn't exactly sure what was supposed to happen. He knew he had to get Storm to rely on someone else for help. To let someone else into his life, but Shadow wasn't exactly sure what it was that was supposed to happen. He then tried to speak to Narasu like he had before. "Narasu. I know what you said, but what exactly is expected?" |

The dragon looked over at Shadow, his gaze level, as always. You will see nothing happen until this task is done. He accepting to try it is not completeing the task. He must truely do it. Which depends on both of you on the time it takes. It could take a couple of weeks for him to completely master this task and receive what he has lost. It could also take a couple of years, which he could not be able to survive. This is all I may say. He closed his eyes once more, laying on his paws with a sigh. He seemed more comfortable now that Storm had accepted to at least try Shadow's way. |

Shadow and Crystal both sighed a sort of relief and he said, "For now just try to get some rest. I'll keep watch for anything." He looked over to Crystal with her spear in her hand and said, "Crystal, I'm going to stay here and protect Storm. Can you go find something to eat for us?" Crystal nodded, and with a spring to her step, she carried herself into the woods. Shadow stared after her a moment until he couldn't see her any longer, then he set about set a fire, but he sat down on the ground and, rather than waste his power, which he felt he was doing, he let the shadows extend from all around to collect wood, small and large, as well as start the fire. In moments, the blaze grew bright in the night, warming the immediate air significantly. He didn't let the protection on Storm fall though, keeping the warmth in as much as possible. Aeroth settled down and began preening his feathers and Shadow began simply meditating, focusing only on his element. |

Storm stayed silent, his eyes as dim as ever but would be glowing and giving him away should he be as he should. He sat this way, watching Shadow until he saw him begin his meditation. He then let his eyes wander in the direction Crystal had gone, envy pulsing from him. He glanced once again to Shadow and he slowly and quietly stood, touching his hip to assure his knife was where it belonged before he began moving for the dense trees, using his sense of smell to follow the unseen path Crystal had taken. |

The further away Storm retreated from Shadow, the more the shell that protected him from the harsh cold surrounding them faded. Shadow stayed quite and didn't say anything indicating he could tell Storm was leaving but he silently knew. Aeroth distracted himself still preening his feathers and said nothing either. Crystal was crouched low in the bushes, spear ready in hand as she watched an owl in the trees hoot into the night. That would be her target, most other life hiding from the cold that night. She aimed her spear lightly in one, freezing the tip sharper as she readied her attack. |

Storm felt his warmth beginning to fade with each step he took, but he wanted to at least pretend he could still do something useful, like hunt, though with his powers gone he was unable to hide his sounds such as his footsteps from those around him. He kept his attention of his heat, though, not wanting to travel too far from it. He continued walking until Crystal came into his view. He saw her prey in front of her and he stopped, not wanting to get any closer, knowing he would only scare it away. He watched her, though, wishing he could be in her shoes, envying her abilities right now. |

Crystal reared back and thrust forward, letting her spear fly from her hand to bury itself into the owl and the pinned to the trees. She hopped up silently in victory and ran to the tree. With a brisk leap, she grabbed a high branch and swung herself into the tree. Two branches up was their dinner and she nimbly scaled the tree, her light weight aiding her on the branches. As she reached the bird and yanked the spear from the tree, she noticed Storm watching her from below and smiled lightly at him, but that quickly faded as she saw the grim look he held. She launched the spear with the bird still attached down to his feet, a safe distance and she vaulted from branch to branch until finally, she landed roughly beside him. She brushed her shorts off as she stood then looked at Storm, her deep blue eyes meeting his lusterless crimson ones. "Storm." She suddenly hugged him and whispered to him, "don't fight us. We want to help." She quickly let go before he might hurt her and picked up the spoils, looking at him again, but keeping her distance now. |

Storm let his hand fall and it slightly brushed the knife at his hip, which he'd meant to pull but had stopped himself, not used to the affection he'd been shown. He scratched the back of his head and forced a smile to her. "Let's get back, shall we?" He glanced at the huge bird and a thought crossed his mind, making him flinch, but he did not voice it. Instead, he turned his gaze to the direction they were to be heading. "Before Shadow gets mad that I left. I know he knows I did." Though he wouldn't have if I had my powers. He added silently to himself. |
