Mango one of the dump dogs that was abandoned by his owners and rescued by Gabacho: they left Mango chained up out of sight and Gabacho found him and took him into his pack.

Mango had been taken in for treatment at the HS after a monthly health check last February. Stace his new owner, completely fell in love with him, while volunteering at the HS while on his vacation. Stace even came out to the dump and met Gabacho. At this point the future was uncertain and Gabacho asked us to wait and see if he still could stay with the dogs, so we did and Stace went home. Well as we all know the end came for Gabacho and the dogs, so re-homing Mango was a must.

Huge thanks to Lori Kilburn of Villa Miranda who fostered Mango and escorted him to Vancouver and met Stace at the airport for the happy reunion.

Other good news is Pepino is living a great life in Lyons Colorado. He has 120 acres to stretch his legs and has bonded deeply with Dana the Cozumel HS great dane rescue from two years ago. The owners are certain that Pepino and Dana know they are from the same place.

Great efforts are being made to find homes for not only the remaining dump dogs, but some of the existing dogs at the shelter to free up space. IFAW is working very hard on it.

Enjoy the short clip of Mangopangdango! He is the caramel colored dog in the video. He very much enjoys his time at doggy beach off leash.

What high-spirited fun. It is great to watch the international common language of dog!

I do wish there was someway for Gabacho to see Mango doing great. He was very, very fond of Mango.
