We just call Ecologia and arrange for pick up. We separate plastics in one bag, glass and cans in another and cardboard in a third. To be honest, I haven't a clue if they recycle anything but the plastic. But I still separate it all out. The kicker is that they request that the recyclables be placed in clear plastic bags. The number is 872-5795

Lee,

Thank you for being so conscientious.

You might need to act soon. With the new garbage concession that begins May 4th, things might change.

The staff of the dept. of Ecology will remain & continue to collect recyclables. I imagine that the transfer station will continue to accept these materials. Time will tell.

Every time my wife and I visit Coz we go to the East side of island and pick up 2 large bags of trash, usually leaving bags full and tied closed on the side of the road thinking they will be picked up buy someone. Maybe we should take to the recycler, I was not even aware there was one. Am I wrong leaving on side of road?

It would be best to take it back to the transfer station. Otherwise black garbage bags will just be picked up and taken to the dump. Transfer station would be on your back to town after such a generous effort that you and your wife make to help keep the beaches clean on the east side.

Address mentioned in above posts.

Thank you for caring!

Andrea
