So how would you rate the Pendragon series out of -/10? I'm been meaning to read these for a while.

Well, all the books are kinda different. Here, I'll give you my ratings and reasonings. But you don't have to read it all, if you don't want. Just my opinions. I'll try not to give out any spoilers.

The Merchant of Death: 7/10. It's the first book and is therefore a lot of infodumps to get you to understand the books. Plus, the begining sucks. "Oh, hiya Mark. Let me take up half a chapter with about how I was kissing a chick I always had a crush on", plus Bobby being a bit of a self-centred idiot. Not a very good begining to such an awesome series.

The Lost City of Faar: 9/10. Cooler world, plot to destroy the world's a bit more interesring. Plus, we meet a really cool new character, who reminds me a lot of Sodapop from The Outsiders. But a bit too much like certain myths... And Bobby's still kind of a jerk.

The Never War: 10/10. I, personally, loved it. I have a love for historical fiction, I think I get that from my dad. We're history freaks. Anyways, new character. He's kinda old and stuff, but still pretty awesome. And the whole gangs and the Hindenburg(sp?) and rappeling down buildings... Anyways, really cool, and Bobby's less of an idiot. You'll love it if you're into historical fiction.

The Reality Bug: 9/10. Not very much action or nothin'(until the end...sort of). Mostly, "ZOMG, these people are selfish, let's save 'em." Meet another new character, though. One of my favourites - a female who uses her brains! A lot! She's more of a jerk then Bobby, though, hehe. Brings a sense of reality down at the end, though, and sends a message through: Just because something seems perfect, doesn't mean it is.

Black Water: 10/10. My favourite character is introduced, plus, Bobby grows a brain. And surprise, surprise - Saint Dane's tricked you on this one! Really cool characters all around - I love cats, though, so that must have something to do with it. The rules bend and things get more intense, especially at the most disgusting and cruel part of the book: the very end. This is also my favourite any one book in any one series. Yes, including Harry Potter.

The Rivers of Zadaa: 9/10. Bobby's becomeing a bit of an airhead again. And it's kinda mushy. But things are heating up everywhere, especially on Second Earth. I like the ending, sort of. New powers are being discovered, too, that could play an important role in the plot. It really gets you to start thinking. Plus, Bobby learns how to keep his ass from getting kicked around the block.

The Quillian Games: 9/10. I hate the Quigs in this. Jeez, I had to skip that entire part. And there's the freaky clowns 'n all that other freaky stuff. But I love the entire concept of how the world works in this. It reminds me of Wal-Mart or the Superstore, actually. And since the walls of the rules are crumbling, plus some good betrayal at the end... And Bobby has to figure everything out almost for himself.

The Pilgrims of Rayne: 10/10. The Convergance really beings here, and I'm loving every minute of it. Not to mention that there's not just Saint Dane, there's another evil person as well. The "final battle" sequence was awesome. I love the characters introduced in this book, too. Just an overall awesome book. Particularily with everything going on in Second Earth.

Overall Series Rating: 10/10. It's a really amazing plot line with lovable(and hatable?) characters. The main villian in these books is probably my favourite of any villian in any book. It's a great series, and it really sends warnings/messages with some of the novels, like RB and QG. Point being, they're amazing books. It's my favourite series. I really suggest you pick up MOD and start reading as soon as you possibly can.

Raven Rise: 10/10

Too many spoilery things happen for me to tell you anything but this: the end made me cry.
