Kellie Pickler, Paul Brandt, Gord Bamford added to country awards lineup 2 hours, 40 minutes ago By The Canadian Press TORONTO - Former "American Idol" runner-up Kellie Pickler and Canadian country stars Paul Brandt and Gord Bamford are joining the lineup of performers set for the Canadian Country Music Awards. Brandt and Bamford are among the leading nominees while Pickler has a new disc set for release next month. The awards will be broadcast on CBC-TV from Winnipeg on Sept. 8. Organizers say presenters will include singer Michelle Wright and entrepreneurs W. Brett Wilson and Jim Treliving of the CBC-TV reality show "Dragons' Den." Performers include Dierks Bentley, George Canyon, Doc Walker, Emerson Drive, Jessie Farrell and Johnny Reid. Farrell leads the pack with seven nominations, including single, album, songwriter and female artist of the year.
