Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Keep in mind that "life-friendly" is a rather vague term. For example, there would be a huge world of difference between an atmosphere that is life-friendly to a human and an atmosphere that is life-friendly to an extremophile microbe.
Neverthelss, this is an intriguing bit of info. Incidentally, I can imagine these worlds would be great settings for speculative evolution projects.

Someone on DA made a short narrative of alien societies based on a few of these worlds to go with the great image they made. https://worldbuildersinc.deviantart.com/art/TRAPPIST-1-MANDO-671926570

My Deviantart A work in progress. Other Liked Quote: "The "habitable zone" will expand along with the Sun. This will warm once-frozen planets and their moons, bringing a brief springtime after a 10-billion-year winter."

The Weekly Space Hangout covered this, along with a few other interesting nuggets from this week. In general it's a good place to hear how actual astronomers and astrophysicists feel about the latest space news.

I have decided not to work on Trappist-1 until more certain data and measurements of the planets have come in. I did a lot of research and come to this conclussion.
