Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

So I got this idea from terraraptor project it has a really nice idea to it but here are some disclaimers this will be set in the same universe as adarius (please check out adarius too) anyways let's start with the story.

The year 3700 humanity has came a long ways they became so advanced that they started seeding life on barren planets. This was the case with Ultima a Venus sized planet. They seeded the planet with 30 unique species and they were all left to evovleand adapt to this new planet. They will have to adapt to survive and live with each other. All of these creatures will have interesting story to tell. The problem is which creatures will thrive on this planet?

Yeah you heard that right which creatures will be chosen to live on this planet as you can see we the community will be deciding which creatures shall inhabit this planet (plant life I covered it's the same plants used in adarius) The creatures you choose will be put in this project first we will be focusing on pollinators, Then insectivores then we will keep going until we reached marine life in which we end deciding there and now we can all speculate as a community on how these creatures will evovle.

Now rules for submitting creatures are.
1. Don't be upset if you a creature you wanted didn't make it
2. try to submit both well known and obscure animals
3.explain how the creatures you choose will survive
4. The creature that the the most people agree on will be put in the project
5. Have fun!

Oh and there will be 3 different continents all of which are called Zeenia,Aepis, and eorasia.

Deadline for voting on medium sized aquatic carnivores ends and filter feeders on march 27th

Well they do say imitation is the highest form of flattery. I see no reason why not to contribute, at least casually.

I nominate the Bee Fly Anthrax anthrax. Its a pollinating bee fly found across Europe, pollinates a wide variety of flowering plants, and lays its eggs among other insect larvae in a form of parasitism.

Let’s add the nitrifying bacterium nitrobacter vulgaris. Spec evo projects tend to focus mostly on animals, especially vertebrates, and I’d like this project to be an exception.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrobacter_vulgaris

How it will survive: The genus nitrobacter plays a vital role in the ecosystem, as they supply soil with the nutrients plants need to survive. Like most bacteria, they are highly durableand can survive many conditions. They are highly successful on earth, especially in oceans.

Nitrobacter vulgaris will do the same thing they do on earth- they will help nitrate the soil and provide plants with the nutrients necessary for survival. as a result, they will fill a vital ecological niche. It is a certainty that the soil would contain nitrogen, and oceans are implied by the existence of continents. This is pretty much everything nitrobacter vulgaris would need to survive.

I'll nominate the most obvious but least exciting choice; the Western/European Honey Bee (Apis mellifera).

Why did I provide a link to that? Everyone knows what that is.

I saw we add a species or two from the genera Anopheles for their fast reproductive rate half to third the rate of other mosquitoes, Aedes for adaption towards diurnal habits and adaption for small pools of stagnant water, and Culiseta for their adaptions and preference for colder climates.
I like oranges
I also like a wide variety of Abantu abathandekayo, Happy Birthday!
Is anyone truly sane? Is anybody truly insane? Does Appa have diabetes? Is Appa the avatar? Do I look like Ajit Pai? My friends have been asking me why I removed net neutrality. Am I even real. Existential Crisis in progress, DO NOT DISTURB.

Wait, Anopheles reproduces faster than other mosquitoes?

Punga: A terraformed world with no vertebrates
Last one crawling: The last arthropod

ARTH-6810: A world without vertebrates (It's ded, but you can still read I guess)

Potential ideas-
Swamp world: A world covered in lakes, with the largest being caspian sized.
Nematozoic: After a mass extinction of ultimate proportions, a single species of nematode is the only surviving animal.
Tri-devonian: A devonian like ecosystem with holocene species on three different continents.

Under optimal subtropical conditions Anopheles brood can go through the entire aquatic stage within 7 days.Edit: They also have similar adult lifespans too.
