Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Help with future science technology game?; Trying to generate ideas for my game

I am making a game where each future invention gives you 5 points. Once you accumulate to 100, you win. Each 5 points unlocks a new invention.

Here's what I have so far

+5 James Webb Space Telescope
+10 Quantum computer
+15 Fusion reactor
+20 Fusion rocket

Does anybody have any cool, creative invention ideas for +25 to +100? I'm looking for out of the box stuff. Everything that I have is too generic.
Also if you could, could you arrange it like I did in a vertical list with the plus sign and the number. Thanks

But we already have quantum computers :P

You only want one invention per +5? It's hard to make an ordering of these things that makes sense. One reason is that while we can have prototypes of a thing already, like the fusion test reactors we have, we're still far from break-even or commercial fusion power. Another is that a lot of them are simply different avenues of research which don't build on the last. I can give you a bunch of ideas separated into 'things-that-don't-look-far-off', 'things-maybe-this-century', and 'the wacky stuff', with a number that feels about where I would put it on the scale.

Near future (maybe!)

Artificial meat (+5)
Cloned organ transplantation (+10)
High-yield GM crops (+10)
Human genetic enhancement (+20)
Lithium-Air Batteries (+10)
Mars retrieval mission (+5)
Memristors (+5)
Micro air vehicles (+5)
Miniature satellites (+5)
Photonics in communications (+5)
the Smart Grid (+5)
Solar sails (+10)

Further Off

Anti-Senescence treatments (+20)
Artificial Photosynthesis (+25)
Brain-computer interfaces (+15)
Carbon integrated circuits (+15)
Commercial fusion power (+20)
External Womb (+25)
Immersive VR (+25)
Labs-on-a-chip (+15)
Manned Mars mission (+20)
Mass-Produced Bioplastics (+20)
Molecular Assemblers (+35)
Synthetic Cells (+30)

Wacky Stuff

Artificial General Intelligence (+75)
Artificial Superintelligence (+100)
Dark matter particle identification (+70)
High-temperature superconductors (+60)
p-p fusion reactors (+75)
Space elevator (etc...) (+60)
Utility Fog (+90)
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.
