Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I douth mario is a kangaroo but I see him as a racoon or tanuki
I think he would be a sunflower. I bet Parasaurolophus would love to eat sunflowers immediately before it was eaten by a Nanuqsaurus.

Punga: A terraformed world with no vertebrates
Last one crawling: The last arthropod

ARTH-6810: A world without vertebrates (It's ded, but you can still read I guess)

Potential ideas-
Swamp world: A world covered in lakes, with the largest being caspian sized.
Nematozoic: After a mass extinction of ultimate proportions, a single species of nematode is the only surviving animal.
Tri-devonian: A devonian like ecosystem with holocene species on three different continents.

I had no idea Mario and Parasaurolophus were so well travelled, considering they were both in Alaska at the same time. Isn't travel wonderful?

Ok, this has devolved into just shitposting, we should probably stop, or, better yet, lock/ delete the topic.

I honestly would love it if Tyrannosaurus was a fluffy feathered dinosaur but it seems like that is impossible

It feels so traumatizing that These restorations are inaccurate frauds and the scaly old school Tyrannosaurus is the accurate one

It is like the bad guys have won

This is so messed up

Plus even if rex is scaly in terms of integument the Mario rex is just as inaccurate as the feather Tyrannosaurus as Tyrannosaurus' scales were so small it would look like it was covered in skin, not like an iguana.

What kind of world do We live in?
When love is divided by hate
Losing control of our feeling
We all must be dreaming his life away
In a world so cold
Are you sane
Where is the shame
A moment of time passes by
You cannot rewind who's to blame
When did it start
Is there a cure for your sickness
Have you no heart
