Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

The only reference size wise is that it's two times taller and five times heavier than the original tundra dweller, which makes no sense as it is far more robust than that. I'm guessing the tundra dweller was supposed to be 'Bigfoot' size or about 3m tall, so that may help?

Was he still doing that RL chart as well?

I'd estimate the Slothman to be the size of a Megatherium

One last request, The Emperor Sea Strider (620 feet tall) The Arrowtongue (8 meters tall) The Skewer (15 meter wingspan) The Groveback

Posted Image

And the Flipstick (60 meters tall) solely because of its interesting design

It is a little annoying about how few is exposed, including there are times that I wish there had been some interaction between humans and posthumans to be able to give a bit of scale.

The only "posthumans" that could get a correct length would be Hitek and tic, since they are human inside mechanical cradles and... nugget... limbed... things...
Because those human faces would be normal in size to those of non-modified humans, so putting a human in comparison could give a idea of its total length.

For the rest there would be special case where the environment could be used as a reference, since some pictures shows a little interaction with animals and plants, but again, it wouldn't be totally accurate.

Yes, is just taking me a time to finish it.

I know your probably aren't going to add it, but it's something cool. Unless it has same problems with Predakor.

By the way, I don't know what terra mirus has the predakor doesn't. But I wont make too big a fuss about it, so don't take it like that. It was just a rhetorical thought.
Projects
Punga: A terraformed world with no vertebrates
Last one crawling: The last arthropod

ARTH-6810: A world without vertebrates (It's ded, but you can still read I guess)

Potential ideas-
Swamp world: A world covered in lakes, with the largest being caspian sized.
Nematozoic: After a mass extinction of ultimate proportions, a single species of nematode is the only surviving animal.
Tri-devonian: A devonian like ecosystem with holocene species on three different continents.

That animal is 20cm long. I think that would be (no pun intended) stretching it.

Oh, okay. I was thinking it might qualify because, compared to it's relatives, it's massive. I guess I just had a brain fart.

^Damn that's huge. At least it has some decent explanations.

What about those giant birds from Serina, the ones that are up to 12.2m tall (he hasn't specified how much they can weigh yet but it's probably high and near the limit for bipedalism under that gravity).

They are in progress, so the bloon would be no more the only Serinian animal :)

For others news, the real life animals chart has been updated, Here is the post with the list of the animals
All species painted, in addition to slight changes and some new species added.

This is going to stay like this for now, so I will no longer accept suggestions about what other animals I should add, remember that these will only be a reference for the SE size chart so I will not delve into making the longest species of all animal groups.

I will also start using table of contents to be able to categorize the new updates and comparison charts.

So I looked back at the chart for HE animals and saw Argentavis magnificens, and how huge it was. I then wondered to myself why the largest living bird wasn't also on there. After a bit of searching, I realized that Diomedea exulans was there... it's simply so small by comparison that you barely notice it. Makes you appreciate how ridiculously big some extinct birds were - keep in mind that Pelagornis sandersi had an even larger wingspan.

With that said though, that is a maximum estimate of Argentavis, which is obtained by simply scaling up a california condor, Gymnogyps californianus, while a roughly 16ft estimate is probably more accurate. The Pelagornis species did have a twenty foot wingspan either way, though.
