Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I don't think this month's selection is too much of a surprise  : for October's Member of the Month I have selected a member who has been extremely active the past month and a half or so. She has shared with us her wonderful world of mermaid-like post-humans and beaked eels. Congratulations, yellowdrakex!

I'm going back to basics.

Is there someway to make these more noticeable? Maybe some sort of mass Private Message.
Something is upsetting the ostriches.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I can mass e-mail all members but that seems to much of an invasion of privacy. I could make a board announcement about it, but really that seems to be more for really big announcements.
