| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! I just realized this has some crurotarsians in it, like in TA. Whoops. Soz JF Aetosauria - Elephant/Pig like forms Phytosauria - Crocodiles Prolacertiformes - Small scavengers, except for Shavopteryx descendants, and isolated large creatures Rauisuchia - Big carnivores, and some gallimimid like forms Rhynchosauria - Hippo like creatures Trilophosauria - Ungulate like life forms Younginiformes - Lizards Avicephala - Bird like, chameleon like in some forms Thalattosauria - Sea-lizards Sphenosuchia - Most non volant arboreal carnivores I'll get some work started on this soon. If anyoone would like to help, just ask. Website link: http://different-world.weebly.com/index.html Edited by SIngemeister, Sep 10 2010, 07:45 AM.

Yeah, because the main diversion point in this timeline the mammals will mainly be Triconodonts. The bat-things will probably be mainly flying foxies. A bit more info Ctenosauriscidae-survived in Britain until the ice age (Paleocene/Pleistocene) Prestosuchidae - survived in SA for a while until it collided with NA. Then the Rauisuchids came over and wiped them out. |

Okay then, I'm gonna have them in. I just realised, I have no actual lizards. I mean I do have the younginiformes in their place, but I want some snakes and I don't know whether to have those snake evolve from prolacertiformes, thalattosaurs or younginiformes. Help please. |

Have them evolved from younginiformes. Or better, snake like temnospondyls rather than reptiles |

Adding new group:Sphenosuchia. They will occupy most arboreal non-volant carnivore niches. |
