Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I just realized this has some crurotarsians in it, like in TA. Whoops. Soz JF

Aetosauria - Elephant/Pig like forms
Phytosauria - Crocodiles
Prolacertiformes - Small scavengers, except for Shavopteryx descendants, and isolated large creatures
Rauisuchia - Big carnivores, and some gallimimid like forms
Rhynchosauria - Hippo like creatures
Trilophosauria - Ungulate like life forms
Younginiformes - Lizards
Avicephala - Bird like, chameleon like in some forms
Thalattosauria - Sea-lizards
Sphenosuchia - Most non volant arboreal carnivores

I'll get some work started on this soon. If anyoone would like to help, just ask.

It's great and all, but not a subforum yet. Too few biomes. ;)

EDIT: Spelling error!

Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

Not really going by biomes. I'm going more by groupings.
D4tD, how is the language I use complicated? If you don't understand words such as carnivorous, cursory, or littoral, there are plenty of online dictionaries.

Look i know you have a dislike of me because of my politics but many people would not no what Ctenosauriscidaes are without looking on the internet.... with the exception of JohnFaa :D i am not saying you should tone down on the scientific stuff because that is your style and i like it but i think it might put some people off.... plz dont take offence i like this project and do not want to insult the creator

What alternatives are there to Ctenosauriscidae as a description? 'Big Dimetrodon-looking reptiles'?

Anyway, website updated. MAPS

GIMP 2. It's downloadable off the web. Just saved the maps into My Pictures, then edited them.

Eleven European species, eight Asian species, one or two overlapping. Is that such a great difference?

Well done, Singemeister. That's certainly some impressive work. How long have you spent on it?

Oh, and glad to see some pictures. Your next task - to draw the Ddraig Goch hagfish.

Indeed. Annoyingly, I only have your and JohnFaa's parodies drawn up. Your hagfish, and John's little pterosaur-bat.

Awesome project, I had quite a bit of fun reading through the Ornlus text. THe drawings are very well done and them, along with the maps are really cool. I can't wait until more updates appear.

I don't think you should stop using these scientific words. I hate when people dumb it down, even if I have to look it up at least I learn something. Thankfully a few of the terms you use I know, you and John Faa know how to humble a person's intellect.
