Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I just wanted to clear something up. I don't hate christians. I don't know if anyone's noticed but it sounds alot like I do in some of my posts. I don't hate christians, I just get annoyed stupid people. In fact, almost everyone I know is christian.

If anyone else has anything to clear up, post it here.

I like the Japanese empire, but only from the 1860's to the 1920's. And while I hate reds that does not make me brown. It would be fairly easy for someone with basic historic knowledge to put Japanese Empire together with Anti-Socialism and take me for some kind of fascist, when in fact I am a Libertarian Monarchist.

And the same as ChumZar, I don't hate anyone automatically because of a religion, but I do hate religions (hate the sin not the sinner :p), particularly Buddhism, partly because it is a very evil religion at its very core (You are poor because you were a bastard in the last life, deal with it. And desire is evil so don't you be trying to get running water.)

And partly because it mostly gets away with it. You don't see people drooling over Islamic theocracy, but when it comes to Bhutan people think it is a wonderful place. People even want to create a Buddhist theocracy in part of the PRC.
I don't hate Communism nearly enough that want to subject the people of Tibet to a theocracy just to slightly weaken the PRC.
Do any free Tibet idiots think about what they want for a second? A Theocracy for a particular ethnic group. In any other context the would be thought of as stupid and evil.

I can't think of anything else right now.

I dislike people who think their religion, beliefs, or knowledge makes them better than anybody else.

This is probably why I've been thrown out of two churches. Literally, in one case. People don't like it when a filthy heathen knows the bible better than they do. (Or when they display the ability to say prayers in arabic) :D I've come to a lot of terms with religion, though (Yay for having a very religious, Lutheran boyfriend...woo...) mostly through my parents (my mother, raised in a strict Catholic household is agnostic and my father, raised in a strict Lutheran household is an atheist) and the fact that I live in Wisconsin.

This one street in downtown is LITERALLY like this.

Bar. Bar. Church. Bar. Bar. Church. Church. Bar. Bar. Bar. Gay Club. Bar. Church. Art Store. Bar.

In Wichita, it's literally like this:

Walmart, church, church, church, Walmart, church, WSU, Walmart, chuch (this one's a Church's Chicken), Popeyes, KFC...

Literally, exactly like that. Oh, but there's a strip mall with a Buybacks in there somewhere.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

This topic is somehow making me want to go to a church, and then grab one of the bibles an dthrow it at the pulpit and yell "BIBLE FIGHT!"

Not that I'd hurt anyone. And it would be my own bible.

I don't hate the japanese animation industry, I just appose the violence and pervertedness that the majority of it has. don't get me wrong the united states animation industry is violent and perverted too (we can blame Ralph Bakshi, Trey Parker and Matt Stone for that) but when you compare the united states animation industry to the japanese animation industry, the japanese animation industry is way more violent and perverted

How dare you! At least South Park actually makes logical sense when you think about it: behind all the nonsense and perversion its true political satire at heart. Family Guy needs a little help (not to say that I don't like random goofing around :D).

south park is too bloody and foul mouthed for my tastes, but I like family guy and we all have different tastes in animation

I know exactly what you mean. Balaam's donkey is so much fun, clearly you are taking the piss and when they check the bible ^_^

South Park is pretty funny and sometimes it bringers up interesting issues. But I like more Japanese animation that anything else, though I have only checked out a small percentage of it.

Just remember that Japanese culture is a lot more open about sexuality and violence than other cultures. In a way, they're more human than other cultures.

True indeed; one must remember we're still animals, and no matter how much civilized we are we still have "those instincts".

As a whole, if this is an apology thread, then I apologise my attacks on people making posts on land placoderms or quadrupedal birds. I'm just a bit "accuracy obsessed"; ironically, I did make mistakes in the past, and I still do, and I don't blame anyone that feels offended with my posts.

It's okay, JohnFaa. :D I like having somebody to rub ways with. It encourages me to go back and make things work better to prove them wrong.

This is why none of my teachers from the past eight years keep contact with me. Because I left them on a "AHAHAHA SEE I WAS RIGHT" note.
