| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! One of the projects I had seen time ago was Morpheus, despite having few pages of content, creatures and designs for this world are quite amazing. About the big projects, I have always felt a great trouble in trying to keep up with the great projects, when these start I managed to get a good follow-up when are growing, however, with other projects which are in a very complex point, costs to me to keep up. So far I'm technically stuck in reading various projects here, specially those that are just reading, more or less for the fact that Im not good in english, but still, Im impressed by everything that has been created. |

One example I remember of a good project that ceased some years back is the Synapsizoic project by Hormagaunt. http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/topic/4753282/1/ |

This project explored a few interesting ideas for ant diversification. |

I think Dr Nitwhale's stuff is great, especially The Great Song (love that thing - is it still active?). 10 Million Years of Rain by Monster has always been one of my favourite projects, though it doesn't appear to be active any more. |

Thanks beetleboy! It's still active beetle, just 2 things in the way of my ever getting it updated- 1) School work and extracurriculars have me busy all the time, and when I do have a second to spec, 2) It's spent on the Library, which is like spec crack. Don't worry though, it'll be updated soon. Maybye even tonight, as I'll have some spare time. Speaking of though, have you any intention of continuing that UK project of yours? I find it to be quite good. and do refer to 17:25 in the video above for my name's pronunciation. And, last but not least, terrific tyler's project is pretty impressive. I haven' given it a proper run through, but I really ought to, from what I seen it looks great. Edited by Dr Nitwhite, Aug 19 2016, 01:25 PM.

Speculative Evolution Projects- Other Relevant Work- Final SE Lifelist standings BREAKING NEWS We interrupt your regular programming to bring you this cutting edge report. ATTENDANCE DROPS DRASTICALLY ON SE SERVER This past Monday on Discord, famous server Speculative Evolution took a hit in the attendance office when it's offline member list suddenly reappeared. Mods scrambled to rectify the situation, but unfortunately there was little anyone could do. Server member Ivan was asked what he thought of the situation. "So long as Flisch, lord of machines and scion of Urborg lives, all will be well". SE, (in)famous for it's eccentric userbase, has recently been spiraling downward, and now we have hard conformation of the decline. Moderator "High Lord" Icthyander states "There is nothing to be concerned about, Discord is merely changing its UI again", but members are beginning to suspect the honesty of their staff. Stay tuned, we'll be back with more at 11.

I still miss Giant Blue Anteater's Antropomundus project. It was popular way back before I joined, back when I was just a lurker, and I think it was very briefly revived for a little bit at one point. It was a pretty neat project with really interesting posthumans and some good art. |

Dumb Quotes Coming Soon/To be Rebooted: How To Hunt Gods - Everything you need to know about Gods and the art of God-killing. Intrazoology - The world of semi-corporeal lifeforms. A world you walk through every day, without even knowing it. The Dungeonverse - Magical creatures forced to adapt in huge, underground caverns, while surface-dwelling humans go dungeoneering for treasure. Crossover - A mish-mash of worlds, with Earth smack in the middle of the chaos. What could go wrong? no worries ![]()

Peashyjah, this is a thread for recommending other people's projects, not for self-promotion. If you want people to offer feedback on The Americas, then please ask in the correct thread. |
