| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Disclaimer: This could be considered to be a successor to the Field Guide to the Future that I had attempted a while ago, which apparently got mildly popular comment wise. As I stated in the train wreck that was the previous version, artwork would be nice for these [updated] creatures. Also, expect the first update within the next couple of days or so, with the world map (Which, if someone can draw it, it'll be appreciated.) Enjoy! Introduction. Within the next few thousand years, humanity is bound to go extinct. Many fauna seems to be going in this direction to, that is, total inhalation. However, humanity actually managed to stick around for a while, and take in the sites of his changing world. He worked wonders, from the Compsognathus mimicking Gallus Manufactorus to the Bat like Rattus Pterodactylus. He advanced so much in technology that his kind could be considered gods. Mankind’s ignorance spelt him doom. Even with his advances, he almost forgot about the dangers that came from the outside world, the world of Space. Space exploration was halted by the time of Mankind’s destruction. That meant no more moon- mars travels. However, one colony of humans did manage to make their way to Mars before this law was placed worldwide. This colony would then go on to change the universe. However, this isn’t their story, this is the story of the next chapter of the earth’s history, the future. Banning space travel spelt certain doom for Earthlings. For, not too far away, in the Jupiter Belt, an asteroid was heading this way to earth. And no, there was no one to stop it, if there was, human kind was just to ignorant to see it. Maybe they were to obsessed with world advancements. After all, obsession can be a deadly thing. Folks from mars watched in horror one night, in fact, it was December 21st, 2568 A.D as their home world was bombarded by a massive Meteor the size of Everest, not that the Martians remembered such a thing. They watched as eight and a half billion souls faded into nothing, exterminated by something as simple as a rock. Humanity had now suffered what the previous rulers of the world, the Dinosaurs, had suffered. After all, this made their first, and last, colony realise that they were nothing more than animals. Another part of the animal kingdom. The first few months of this… nuclear winter were hell. Surprisingly, many of man’s creations survived. Gallus Manufactorus (“Chickenosaurus”), Rattus Pterodactylus (“Azhdarchorat”) and Elephas Micropus (“Miniphant” as they were called) managed to survive. However, their new world was bleak for the next decade, before the dust finally cleared. When it did, and after the landscape cleared, they were born into a new world. Welcome, to the Agnostizoic, the land of the strange. Edited by Dapper Man, Jul 16 2016, 04:17 AM.

Some things were going to be completely redone. And the last version wasn't done so well. |

The second name in your species name should only start with a small letter; only the Genus starts with a capital. So they should be Gallus manufactorus and Rattus pterodactylus |
