Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

NOTICE

They came from the heavens above. We first called them "Saints", believing they came to rescue us from the world we destroyed ourselves. We were wrong, ever so wrong. They came to eradicate us, remove us so we could cause no more harm. Not only was our homeworld Earth destroyed, we were soon to be, too. But we could fight. Humans always do that, we're stubborn creatures. So we did.

The First Seraph, Paradai, fell in Leeds, Great Britain. They weren't prepared, nor were any of us. The entire city was destroyed, as well as much of the (surviving) landscape. It took two full days of missile bombarding from the ships HMS Bridgewater and HMS Epreuve, both Atlantis-class guided missile cruisers, as well as countless ground troops and aircraft. The First Battle cost thousands of lives and the loss of Leeds. The battle was considered a loss due to the great number of deaths involved. This was the battle that decided Earth's plan; the SENTINEL Program.

Wait, what has this to do with spec anyways?

It's about demonic Kaiju.

Are they aliens?
Any explanations to why they exist?

a species of canid that's always male because the females are in Hell, that commits blood rituals on unborn souls, and assimilates others into its flesh belongs in a competition meant to foster a sensible and mature discussion of evolution.

In the end, the best advice I could give you would be to do your project in a way that feels natural to you, rather than trying to imitate some geek with a laptop in Colorado.

That's actually something the story is heavily based off of.

This is really just something to keep me on the forums and to let people get to know my writing style before I start my project officially. It's in the works right now. I can PM you the full lore if you'd like, as this universe will continue throughout my other projects (so...you'll get a little spoiler). They are aliens, in a sense, as they come from a place away from Earth, but it's fairly distant from the truth. Also, I'd rather not call them "Kaiju", even though that's what they are...I prefer "over-100-story-tall-monsters-from-space".

Anyhow, a little unofficial update as I'm being lazy again. I will update with 3 updates per Friday night to Saturday afternoon (posts will occur between these times). I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have been too busy this past weekend to write any updates, apologies. I will have to resume once I finish moving. I am sincerely sorry.
