| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Based off of WWD, and Planet Dinosaur, this is basically a documentary about the life of prehistoric animals from all different times. So get a seat, grab your popcorn, a holocaster, a soda, and some pizza, and enjoy the show. The Late Cretaceous morning was crisp, and a little chilly. The two bull Triceratops bellowed, their breath misting in the air, and their quills rattling. They ram into each other with incredible force, and a clack echoes through the air. A few spectators look on, mostly small juveniles, and their mothers. The two brown males both have four red and orange eye-spots on their frills, and they bellow, shaking their heads, trying to intimidate one another. The camera fades, and we see a small theropod walking through the forest, searching for insects underneath the dead logs. A Troodon. The small animal chirrups, rustling his feathers and preening. He senses something coming, and it's not a hadrosaur or pachycephalosaurus. The Troodon runs under a fallen log, cowering, as a large predator walks into view. A Dakotaraptor, and a hungry one at that. It screeches, its breath misting in the cold morning air. The feathery beast has a cinammon coat, with some flecks of white here and there, and all of the feathers on its face are white. It sniffs, trying to sense any prey nearby. It sniffs again, maybe sensing the Troodon under it. It looks into the log, to see the small gray animal crouched there, cowering. It screeches, and the Troodon leaps out its hiding spot, darting through the undergrowth, the Dakotaraptor in hot pursuit. Soon, they reach a clearing, and the Troodon runs as fast as his legs can carry him. The Dakotaraptor is getting nearer and nearer, when suddenly, a roar echoes through the forest, and they both stop in fear. They're fucked. A group of Anzu run through the clearing, darting past the two, when suddenly a massive shape looms from the undergrowth. A 40-foot predator emerges, its gray feathers glinting like metal in the sunlight. A Tyrannosaurus, a young male, not mated yet. It has a small pouch under its throat, and rustles his arm feathers, roaring. The Dakotaraptor and Troodon just stand there, looking at the Titan in pure terror. The Troodon mans up and runs off, while the Dakotaraptor darts the other direction, trying to get away in time. The Tyrannosaurus male snorts, thrashing his feathery crown, as he tries to get some bugs away. The Tyrant Family Hunt Edited by Paleo_Specs, Apr 19 2016, 09:02 PM.

Huh. Wouldn't you consider the OP the introduction to the series? And, I do like the idea. I did have a idea similar to this, in terms of a WWD format, and would I be able to draw for you? |
