Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

The landmasses has changed. Burmia (Borneo, Celebes and Phillippines) has collided with Siberia and Alaska. Galeon (former East Africa) has collided the western coast of India while Malumatra (Malaysian peninsula and Sumatra) has collided with the eastern coast of India. Antarctica, Australia, Papua and South America have formed one land known as Thallassa, which is attached to North America by Florida. Greenland collided with South America too and is now merged between the 2 Americas, north and south. Iceland has collided with Nigeria. Scandinavia is separated from the rest of the world and is attached to Great Britain. Sea level is higher than before. The world experiences the biggest Hot age that span from ~90 myl to 170 myl (myl meaning Million Years Later, after humans).

During this Hot age, ice caps were almost gone. Europe is closer to the Tropic of Cancer while Antarctica's former south pole is out of the Antarctic circle, which makes all the continents "tilted" to the south on the western part of this super continent: Pantarctcia. One global ocean is present: the Opus Terra Ocean.

Life as we know it continued after the human's extinction during the Holocene Biological Cataclysm (HBC), or also known as the 6th extinction.

Europe is a desert while the Sahara is lush green as well as Arabia and Australia. Antarctica has forests, woods and tundras. The Amazon forest is a sea. South Africa is cold and is a tundra as well as Canada. Burmia's collision expands the Siberio-American mountain chain which is renamed the Burmian chain. In this chain, there's the tallest mountain in the world: Mt Burmia which is 11 km high. Its a monstrous mountain chain that experiences avalanches every 5 months. It stretches from the Himalayas up to the Rockies. Volcanoes are scarcly present in this chain, in which Mt St Helens is part of.

The most active volcano in the world is Mt Gabung, in Malumatra, formed by the Indian-Malumatran collision 98 myl.

The future holds a new world. Filled with creatures that are ordinary but strange for human times. This is the same Earth we lived on but not like before, of course. Welcome, to our former Earth.

“There's a tree," Starflight said, jumping to his feet. "In the forest."
"No way," Glory said. "A tree in the forest?”

"One of those capsules hit a wing." Victor said. "Had to do an emergency landing." He pointed to a crumpled plane a couple dozen meters behind him and shrugged. "Not my most elegant landing."
