| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Disclaimer: Due to the nature/ theme of this series, a maturity warning must be insured, as, at times, it can get pretty violent and, at most, a little disturbing for the audience. And, quite a bit of the time, there will be swear words. The prettiest thing ever! Here is where you can create potential characters to be introduced later on in the series, from issue #4 on wards] So, I've had this idea of a world that is in a Post-Apocalyptic type of setting. However, unlike most apocalypses, it is filled with mythological creatures. I am already up to page 7, and almost finished that. Anyways, I'm probably re-writing history at this point in time, to fit the setting of the stories universe. I've been world-building for several months, and have finally concluded to do the series as a comic. I'll be doing the original version (I'm not to bad of a artist), and my friend will be doing the much better version, as he's a bloody good artist when it comes to this type of stuff, as I'm more of a Paleoartist, but I'm getting better. I'm allowing a maximum of 10 forum members to be characters as well, to include into the survivor list, which I'll be explaining later. I have been thinking about this world and its key plot lines for ages, i.e how one character's actions has affected the entire story line, and almost eliminated the antagonist in this event, but with the antagonist only just scraping his way through. There are three main antagonists, but there will be other human antagonists that try to stop the protagonists along the way. The comic is quite graphic at times, but no sexual themes will happen, and it will be quite violent, and, since my friend is a excellent artist, you'll be expecting it to be quite visible. Anyways, on a more positive note, I'm planning on sending his version off once its done to a author to publish, for at least the first issue. I'll finish my version of the first issue within the next two weeks most definitely, as I'm planning on making it within 25-40 pages long. I'll occasionally be discussing some of the logistics of this world, so you won't just be seeing PDF's as the updates. I've already got the main character list, I'm just looking for ten forum members who might want to either be mentioned or as actual characters. Of course, this is centered around mythology, so you could expect some weird creatures as the story develops. When looking at the mythology I've centered around for the series creature's, I noticed quite a bunch of giant ones, so I decided to make a counterpart, which will be introduced later. So, within a couple of weeks, you'll be seeing a PDF of the first issue on the forums. No one's to overpowered, as, remember, they are just normal people. Also, side note on how the monsters work. If one person dies, five more monsters appear, as if monsters rely on people to multiply. Also, if they get hit by any bullet or sword or whatever, they simply disintegrate, and reform anywhere between a day- 5 months after they've officially been killed, unless, of course, you blow them to absolute shreds. That's for smaller monsters. Larger monsters, on the other hand, can only be killed with either blowing them to shreds or shooting them down with a gun or a bow and arrow.
