Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Over the vast eons, we have seen the rise and fall of man's ancient relatives, herds of Mammoths and Mastodons stomping the plains. However, despite their appearance on many books, TVs, comics and more, they seem to be lacking one things: "Realism" (As in the covering of feathers, and walking like Chickens part of it, instead of the "Movie Monster" portrait they have been given over the past few years) Now, however, people are starting to catch up, with more and more comics and books showing them with feathers. However, these newer generation of books seem to go to the most famous ones. How about the odd Daemonosaurus, who had the bone crunching bite before T-Rex had it? How about the Nasutoceratops, who had wide, bull like horns? What about the Cycnorhamphus, who has the long, scythe shaped bill similar to a Flamingo's? Or, what of the new information on old favorites, like the fact that T-Rex had the most smarts out of any theropod of its size, or the fact that Dinosaurs in general hold their hands like they were going to clap. Many aspects of these had been shown, and will be shown, in Prehistorica: The Dinosaurs.

Done with the lineart and other basic things. Now I will shade and detail it tomorrow or some other day, I might also edit the Postosuchus jaw to make it open and seem like the Effigia will run into its' own death.

No problem. Even though the Effigia and Daemanosaurus fluff is just speculation, it's nice aesthetic and there isn't anything against it or that proves it.

The animal on the cover is supposed to be a T-Rex, but it turned to be a bit tame. (Not the terrifying look I was going for :()

Here you go. You don't mind if I keep making these, right? I don't don't want to take your fun out of drawing these, but they're pretty fun to make actually. Still need to shade, detail and make the rest of the background.

WOAH, you live in New Zealand? Land of the Birds and (was a place of) NEARLY ONLY Birds (Until humans arrived, the bats were already there. But no other mammals around until humans came around)? Awesome.

Edit: Spellcheck and updated image with some sand and will soon detail and shae and add gravel, background and some Hell Creek Flora.
