Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Where there dinosaurs in Indonesia? I can't find anything on the internet. In case for those who might confound Indonesia with Malaysia, this is Indonesia:

I'm sure that they weren't yet discovered. Maybe I'll do a project imagining dinosaurs of Indonesia. Besides, there are still hundreds of dinosaur species yet to be discovered!

I don't even really like this song that much but the title is pretty relatable sometimes, I guess.

No, I thought there were Malaysian/Indonesian unnamed remains (albeit all/mostly teeth).

Perhaps.

But this brings an interesting question: was anything nowadays part of Indonesia even above sea level in the Mesozoic?

Half of New Guinea belongs to Indonesia, and New Guinea was above sea level and connected to Australia IIRC.

Here are maps of Indonesia through time from the Triassic to the KT boundary. Interesting. I would think that the first dinosaur swould be in Indonesia by the Early Jurassic and in Borneo by the Early Cretaceous. Sorry that I posted them as jpgs.

There are things found in Malaysia these days... Most interesting is a spinosaur teeth dated to 70 mya (it seems to be discovered by a Japanese-Malaysian joint expedition quite recently)

There are also ichthyosaurs from the middle Jurassic Seram islands, but generally, Indonesia is not that knowledgeable on palaeontology, I guess

There should be dinosaurs though, most probably in northern Sumatra, or Papua New Guinea, nearest to the mainland... Also, that we find choristoderes in Timor can be precedent that the environment is at least brackish...
Currently a part of Specworld's revival and The Dark Phoenix's Dinosaur Spec... Still open for idea exchanges and commentaries
