| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Today I decided to do a thread were I or even YOU (if you want you can) tell a/some story/stories about 2 dinosaurs confronting each other. I don't know if there's any thread in this forum with the same theme as this one but still. Today, a Carnotaurus attacking a Saltasaurus. Saltasaurus vs Carnotaurus: On a hot sunny day in Cretaceous Argentina, a Saltasaurus eats peacefully some leaves. It was a rather old one and reached a height of almost 3.5 meters. He was as long as 2 Prado cars. Munching on leaves, he suddenly feels a presence. A presence that many sauropods don't like: a fiersome and potentially dangerous theropod. The sauropod swallows the remaining leaves and looks around. The leaf eater spots something, hiding between the trees: a Carnotaurus. Suddenly the theropod charges at the sauropod, Carnotaurus was an incredible killing machine. The meat eater's agility made the Saltasaurus panicking, he didn't know what to do. Only a few meters from the sauropod, the theropod jumps and, much like any typical and normal Carnotaurus, thrusts its head downward at the sauropod's neck with an incredible speed. He comps on the long neck. The Saltasaurus didn't feel too much pain actually, a Carnotaurus's bite isn't very strong. The sauropod shakes violently his body, the theropod loses grip and is destabilized. The predator goes back on its feet and charges at the sauropods central body instead. The Carnotaurus rams into the Saltasaurus with its horns, making the sauropod lose balance. The sauropod falls on its side, exposing its soft and weak white belly. The Carnotaurus, with the typical "head thrust", bites on the herbivore's belly. This time the sauropod feels an unimaginable pain. The Carnotaurus feels a little pain in its jaw but doesn't lose any grip. His teeth reach the intestins of the sauropod. He tries to close his jaw and then rips the sauropods delicate flesh. The Saltasaurus tries to swing its tail at the Carnotaurus. But the sauropod is exhausted. The Carnotaurus opened the long neck's belly. Its intestins are exposed to the open world. The Saltasaurus loses a large amount of blood. The Carnotaurus, being sadistic on its own, swallows the chunk of flesh he had bitten and watches the sauropod drying up from blood. Suddenly a group of Troodons pop up. They were too exhausted to chase and decided to scavenge. However they didn't know the Carnotaurus was here. He swallows a Troodon in order to warn the others. The other dromaesaurs decide to attack the Carnotaurus instead, underestimating the big theropod. The theropod kills another one and swallows it. 2 Troodons managed to stick their claws into the Carnotaurus's side. The Saltasaurus's murderer shakes his body to take off the 2 troodons on its sides. Another troodon decided to cut a part of the sauropods flesh. He chomps on the already cut flesh, rips it off and calls its comrades. The other follows him and escape. The meat eater isn't too exhausted. The sauropod has almost no force to just move its jaws. The Cranotaurus goes up to the sauropod and pushes it on its back. The sauropod's belly is now up, just in case if other scanvengers come. The sauropod suffers from blood loss. He is still alive but the Carnotaurus, losing patience, decides to eat on the sauropod starting with the belly of course. The Carnotaurus won. If any one wants to create a story about 2 dinos confronting each other then this can be the place. The next story that i'll write will be of Saichania vs Velociraptor. But YOU can make a story! |

“There's a tree," Starflight said, jumping to his feet. "In the forest." "No way," Glory said.
