Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

F.I.N.D.R Field Incident Logs
A comprehensive list of all organisms, artifacts, and alternative worlds encountered by the foundation team.

At the present time, concepts within are inconsistent and ever shifting.

(And this is just the spec related stuff)

I wouldn't even put furries in the category (ha, cat-egory, get it) of "weird" anymore. They're just such a staple part of the internet that I've grown used to them being a thing. I mean, they're definitely nothing when compared to, well, that, up there.

I wouldn't necessarily count 'furries' as normal. Bondage, BDSM and the like, however, I'd definitely consider that normal. Maybe my social circle is weird but ropeplay is practically average foreplay.

Most furries I've met though have been pretty nice, they get way too much shit for a relatively innocuous set of fetishes.
To be fair, not all furries are furries for sexual reasons. Like, a lot of them are. Most of them are, actually. But there's also a pretty decent number of them that are also there not just for the sexual, kinky aspect of it, but also for the community and the opportunity to dress up as a cartoon anthropomorphic animal.
Which is still weird, and I don't relate, and I only sort of understand, but like I said, the whole furry phenomenon has become very normalized in my mind.

The Dungeonverse - Magical creatures forced to adapt in huge, underground caverns, while surface-dwelling humans go dungeoneering for treasure.

Crossover - A mish-mash of worlds, with Earth smack in the middle of the chaos. What could go wrong?

Never really thought of it like that, but now that you point it out, I guess I have the same stance, sort of.

I don't even really like this song that much but the title is pretty relatable sometimes, I guess.

No, they all float for the same reason - buoyancy. How could you forget such a basic thing, Silver?

Some of us are there for the art. Or were. Not sure I would class myself as a furry, but I do like to draw them and read/watch a few things that have anthro animals. There's a lot of overlap with werewolf fandom.

That said, I got a few requests to draw bizarre explicit pornographic content from furries...most requests though, were simply for character portraits.

I found a bizarre subreddit. It isn't vulgar, it's just... weird.

The belief the nothing is real, except for oneself and one's own experiences.

^It's literally meme tier.

It's the idea that you can't prove something beyond your own perception, and hence can only be truly certain of your own existence. It has almost no actual 'adherents' but there are plenty of jokes in reference to it.

Is there a webcommunity anywhere devoted to Last Thursdayist doctrines?
