| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! That "forests as oceans" idea sounds really cool. I would love to see a project like that. |

That would be amazing. Imagine walking across a flat plain, and in front of you, there is a giant rainforest canyon. How dark would it be anyway? And how would plants survive without light? Would lower layers be dominated by fungi? |

Dumb Quotes Coming Soon/To be Rebooted: How To Hunt Gods - Everything you need to know about Gods and the art of God-killing. Intrazoology - The world of semi-corporeal lifeforms. A world you walk through every day, without even knowing it. The Dungeonverse - Magical creatures forced to adapt in huge, underground caverns, while surface-dwelling humans go dungeoneering for treasure. Crossover - A mish-mash of worlds, with Earth smack in the middle of the chaos. What could go wrong? no worries ![]() | |

I don't have time for another project though. What happened to Cornucopia? An extremely overly large tanglewild would be a close enough to the idea. |

You can suggest it here. I'd be interested in a new community project, especially if it's Xeno - Haven't seen a xeno communicyt project yet.

“The search for truth takes us to dangerous places,” said Old Woman Josie. “Often it takes us to that most dangerous place: the library. You know who said that? No? George Washington did. Minutes before librarians ate him.” ― Joseph Fink, Welcome to Night Vale “Librarians are hideous creatures of unimaginable power. And even if you could imagine their power, it would be illegal. It is absolutely illegal to even try to picture what such a being would be like.” ― Joseph Fink, Welcome to Night Vale "Blep" ― Diglett, My Blue Tonge

Heres a idea of mine that will happen if ultima and adarius my 2 projects fail This project is going to be a communtiy project where us the communtoy will decide of what creatures will go into a huge dome that has 2 oceans and a large landscape to explore also to add more at the start of the project the dome will be the size of Pangaea but overtime it will get smaller and smaller untill it is around the size of australia and at this point there will be no ocean only large lakes and rivers Edited by CeratosaurusKing, Oct 14 2017, 09:37 PM.

I came up with a very odd project concept today at work. I feel that if Vernalis/Littoralis/Vivispheres doesn't work out, I can fall back on this project. Here's the basic idea: It's a pocket dimension terrarium project, but with a twist: The livable area is only the size of your average retail store, at least 4,000-20,000 sqare feet. Consequently, everything that lives there is really small, and really wierd. The largest creatures are lizards, which don't get any bigger than carolina anoles. Niches are actually sectioned off by vertical sections, as oppesed to different environments. From the tall, warm canopy, to the expansive underground tunnel systems. I plan on doing stuff with lizards, frogs, spiders, and even crabs. |
|
PLEASE NOTE: If I come off as harsh or demanding whilst talking to you, please tell me. I apologize in advance..... UPCOMING PROJECTS: Projects here
