Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

This is a project i will do after raparia is in mid devleopment or finished, depending on the circumstances but basically.

This project might already sound pretty simliar to sheatheria, but basically a it's alternate univerese project, where creatures from diffrent timeperiods of earth's history have made their way to this world via portals, the main three groups of animals that make up the population on this planet are.

Pholidota
Noasauriade
Sepiidae

Projects in work
Raparia

Future project ideas:
Tale of the horned beasts - A alternate evolution project where ceratosaurus never went extinct and instead evovled to better fit the new challenges they shall face ahead of them.

Umber - A alternate universe project where portals have been opening up to a moon named "umber" other then a few species of freshwater and saltwater fish, as well as invertebrates. Pangolins,Iguanas,Noasauriade, and Cuttlefish are the most prominet group of animals.

I while back I posted an idea about a terraformed world where a single species of macropod is the only tetrapod introduced. I however could never decide on a specific species to introduce, there's just to many. So instead I've decided to introduced every species in the Macropodiforme suborder that existed at the time of European settlement (therefore includes extinct species) and let them run dominion over this planet. However, it turns out there are ecological problems in the long run if you only introduce macropods, non-tetrapods and native plants, so a few additions need to be made...

I will probably pursue this concept after I finish one of my current projects. Two active projects at a time is mah limit.

I don't really have the knowledge of cell biology to do this myself at this point (although I might pick it up if I end up doing my own research) - but I had the idea of a project which deals with the life on an alien planet starting from the unicellular level. This project would discuss the specific mechanism for this alien life, which would be distinct from earth life and the standard "basically earth life" cells present in many other xenobiology projects, and also slowly go through the stages of evolution on the planet building up to simple multicellular organism into distinct cell types within one organism etc to build a truly alien ecosystem - even if an at most edicarian one by the end.

concept for a giant, tree-forming descendant of dandelions. Its a member of the genus Taraxarbor, a successful genus of trees and shrubs that can be found on all dry land masses. Part of a developing spec project depicting Earth 250 million years in the future.

A fut. evo project that I might start working on at some point; that follows a Jurassic-Park esque timeline, i.e. where Dinosaurs are cloned. The project would follow the extinction of humanity; and how the descendants of the resurrected animals coped with the modern world. I'm going to start writing this up at some point, as I already have a few ideas. Another thing this project would dwell with is how the animals designs changed over time (i.e. going from outdated depictions to more modern depictions).
