The documentary "The Future is Wild" was one of the most remarkable works of speculative evolution, but we now know that most of the beings described, their ancestors, their anatomy and physiology proved implausible and sometimes ridiculous depending on animal and the time where live. It was also where they were born some of the most common clichés ideas in the spec evo as multiple time periods, terrestrial cephalopods, quadrupedal birds (hardly outstanding, but observe the spink) and others. Anyway, it occurred to me to make a little remake of this documentary, a mini project where I apply my knowledge to change and a way to show the changes that need future scenarios is wild to improve and be more plausible. These only focus on environments that were out in the documentary, but unlike this, I'll add other animal species to complement more each ecosystem. To make it more similar to each of the scenarios, I will separately, ie each time belong to a different timeline from one another. content 5 million years in the future Humans reached its maximum climax and then they were destroyed to themselves in their continued attempt to retain their old world, at the expense of the environment, and organisms and living beings. Gannetwhale this species of aquatic bird has been modified in several ways, especially its appearance, which was similar to a pinniped for no reason, seems more plausible that it could develop a plan similar to a cormorant because this species develops in about 5 billion years, and with this short period of time that there would not be many changes, plus we are dealing with a bird and not a mammal which obviously has a completely different morphology. Shagrat Well this species, I did not so many changes, it is among the few animals that can be considered plausible in the documentary. Its size is not too much comparing to other types of rodents that have existed, its morphology has not changed greatly. Even though, I took the liberty of doing it more plump. about their behavior does not seem improbable, other animals that live in large groups able to create strategies in a situation of danger. Snowstalker This large predator descendant of Wolverine, has had some significant changes to the original version. mainly in the jaw. In the original version that possessed a strong jaw, and a bit long, with a similar appearance of a canid, which saber tooth sticking out. This has been modified slightly to fit a more functional way of biomechanics way. is now shorter and more robust, the sabertooth, have reduced it. The Great Shaggy Boar This large herbivore descended from pigs live in southern Europe, migrating in large herds between stations. Are close relatives of the scrofas, but unlike them, are much bigger than them, reaching 3 meters in length, and half a ton. Many live in large groups of dozens of individuals, always move in search of food and shelter. Coldplain weasel The mustelids would probably be one of the likely candidates to fill the niche of predators if most of the carnivores disappear. The Snowstalker is one example being the apex predator of the continent. however, would not be alone, would have other mustelids that also would fill other vacant niches. Weasels could evolve and grow large enough to become secondary predators. This is one of the results, the cold plains weasel is a descendant of the Least weasel. unlike their ancestors, they have grown to a length of 1 meter long. Are active hunters, have developed a white fur that allow them to go unnoticed to achieve close enough to catch their prey so. feed on a variety animals such as rabbits, shagrats, and if possible, offspring of great shaggy boar. Deathgleaner The existence of this species that would be impossible because despite the human-caused extinction, species would have easily even they would take that niche in no time. chosen to replace the real vultures, which could survive the extinction. Desert Rattleback Is perhaps one of the most plausible animals found in this ecosystem, it is not exaggerated anatomical or lifestyle. but I found some things that seemed unnecessary. among them was the lack of hair on his head. Wind Fox With the extinction of most terrestrial carnivores have been many vacant niches. While Europe and Asia are taken by mustelids and wild boars, in north america keeps the canids. Foxes managed to thrive, and are now the predators. This fox is about 1.5 meters long, and is an agile hunter. travel in small groups of 4. Feed on lizards, birds and rodents, especially rattlebaks. Carakiller As all the birds in the documentary, this time specifically, has several erroneous and unnecessary features, including its ancestor. When I went to start designing this species, I was watching on the avifauna of South America and realized it was not necessary for the carakiller descended of caracara. apparently there is already a bird that is on track to be the next terror bird, this is called seriema, and is not currently threatened. So instead of making a type of giant flightless caracara, I decided to do a larger version of seriema. these birds already carry in his head a group of feathers, almost similar to those of the original carakiller, nothing but these are located forward of the head. maybe these can use the same way. And finally, its size seemed to me a bit exaggerated 2 meters, so this might give you 1.5 to 1.7 meters high. This smaller size could be compensated by a group life. |

Savannah rattleback the savannah rattleback is perhaps some of the most extravagant and erroneous animals that can be found in the documentary, due to its strange characteristics. described the original as another relative species the desert ratttleback, mainly omnivorous, has a much more sophisticated armor which is comprised of large plates, and uses this armor as protection against carakillers. here there were too many details that had to change, the first was his appearance, because in the time in which evolves is rather to develop somehow a different body plan their northern relatives, so chances are that could resemble more like the NA rattleback. also other notable changes would weave their behavior. even could be omnivorous, but their diet consists of grasses would be more rather than bird eggs. his armor would not be so different from the armor of their northern relatives. might have more resistance, but would not be similar to the protection that had been given to the original rattleback. its size could be something between 1 and 2 meters long, would be a more robust version of the North |

Tatúrex the Tatúrex, is one of the various inhabitants of the Amazon savannah, descendants of the common armadillos, it's a great armored omnivore of about 1.6 meters long. Nasuaursus This procyonid descendant of coatis, is a great omnivore that inhabits the Amazon savannah.
