I have my script written. All I have to do is wait, and if necessary improvise.
What's it about? Like I said, wait.

Me Forum user Uncanny Gemstar drew what is supposed to be a me. Thanks! Spoiler: click to toggle As they walk in, they're greeted by a small, poorly kept pathway leading to a poorly constructed Japanese-style gate. Behind this, a small field made up of corn, rice, wheat, potatoes, among other plants is contrasted by large piles of books, as well as a few rather out of place looking laptops. Off in the corner, a small woman, with long, striped, and strikingly colorful socks, no shoes, unremarkable denim shorts, a large, fancy black coat, arm warmers, glasses, a tuque, and somewhat unkempt, mid-length blue-and-pink-streaked red hair, is rummaging through a trash bin, located behind a sign saying "employees only". She continues this for a while (walking behind a wall to change her outfit now and then), until one of her visitors coughs. Startled, she looks up, apologizes, and grabs a handful of textbooks and novels before daintily running off to join them. What, you want me to tell you what these mean? Even though he is our creator, that does not afford him the right to take our lives on a whim. But that is the thinking of a homs. He is a god. Such morals cannot apply to gods. So you think we should just shut up and die?! If that is the fate decided by a god. You are mistaken if you think we will simply accept such a fate and wait to die. We'll never stop fighting. But Souls are delicious. They're like bacon - they taste good on anything. But if you eat them, you completely remove them from existence! They can't move on or... or be reincarnated! Huh. I never really gave it much thought. Besides, what do you mean by reincarnation anyway? You know, being reborn as someone or something else. Which means different body, different memories, different experiences, yes? So isn't being reborn as "something else" the same as being "removed from existence"? I... I... eating souls isn't right! That depends on your definition of "right". All living things survive by eating other living things. So what? You're a god. You should be above all that! Gods are above living things, which doesn't necessarily mean we care about them.

Agree with Zorcuspine. Y'all focus on all the depressing stuff way too much.
I get that life can be shitty and bad things are all over the place (don't know why you listed swear words as bad things, btw, Troodon; swear words are just words), but constantly dwelling on the bad things doesn't help anybody, especially yourself.
Me, I've always been an ignorer, even when that's a bad idea. Something bad happens, I ignore it. And whilst that does sometimes create problems, in the end I'm pretty happy. I surround myself only with genuinely nice, cool people who I actually wanna spend time with, I read a lot, go on Youtube, and generally just do things that make me happy.

That does lead to the question of why we consider some words inherently bad and that they shouldn't be said. At least in my mind, but then again, I don't seem to grasp a lot of concepts 'normal' people just accept, so I may not be the best judge.

"Life is short and sadistic, so make love to it like a one-eyed double agent." So basically, have sex with life as if you were Nick Fury on a mission. Got it.
As for the "bad" words, I actually watched a really interesting video about that. Basically, go back to medieval Europe, back when whether you were super rich and lived in a castle or whether you were so poor you literally lived in a house made of dung and grass was still an important thing.
Back then, the separation of the classes was so effective, it affected language. The rich had their own words and slang, as did the poor.
Thing is, a lot of the poor people's slang had to do with how much life sucked for them, meaning that there were many different ways of saying "Hey, Paul, can you pass me the bucket of dung?"
Naturally, being rich and all about cleanliness, rich people wanted absolutely nothing to do with dung, or any of the words for it. So they marked almost any slang exclusive to the lower classes as "bad words" that were not to be spoken in polite (read "rich") society.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why little kids get in trouble when they say things like "crap" or "shit."
Because a bunch of super rich people hundreds of years ago decided they didn't want to hear any more servants complaining about their houses made of shit.

What we consider "bad words" changes over time, usually with what's happening to people. Also I'm pretty sure that people saying curse words aren't what makes the world a seeming bad place, they're just words. It's like saying offensive jokes are what makes the world a seeming bad place. I just say get thicker skin.
As for what I do for a "coping mechanism", I just simply don't care that much. I'm not spiritual or religious in anyway, I just see the world what it is. Bad things happen, good things happen. I just try to be a nice person so that other people can have something good happen in their day. That's why I hold doors open for people when I can.

The words are only "bad" because society continuously perpetuates the notion that they are bad. They are completely harmless. The only words that are actually bad are slurs.
