Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I didn't know where to put a suggestion topic; so please move this to the relevant area. But on that note...
A suggestion subforum wouldn't go amiss.

Also, could we organize the accepted species by habitat and island, as well as by clade; maybe in separate pages or separate posts? It would certainly make browsing through the project pretty easy. For example, make a heading titled "Isa"; put a subheading under it titled "Wetlands"; and list all Isan wetland species under that.

Finally, it would be cool if we could have people write synopses of certain habitats once they were sufficiently fleshed out. It shouldn't be too hard to edit the synopses if new species were added.

Sounds good. We do already have a subforum for the environments though, just nothing in them. I have a piece on the bogs and swamps fairly complete but I'm just waiting for a few more relevant species to be published before I finish, which is what I guess is going on with the rest of the environmental stuff : ) I know I could go back and edit as things ate added but it still looks a bit too empty to publish to start with, Imo.

I agree with this idea.

I've just been waiting until people start making environment descriptions until I get to the Dusa Ravines.

I don't even really like this song that much but the title is pretty relatable sometimes, I guess.
