Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

The original cartoon (and the gamecube game, actually) was really good. I've not seen this new thing but it looks like garbage.

I don't even really like this song that much but the title is pretty relatable sometimes, I guess.

It's not really garbage I mean it's a decent show, it's just that it's nothing like the original and the original is focused on a well written and cohesive story as well as great animation and as such is 1,000,000 times better than mediocre

Dear @DCComics - please grow up and stop being embarrassed that you make superhero comics. We're all adults and we like them. You'd think given your continued bad relationship with Alan Moore, you wouldn't listen to him, but you seem to really be taking his "superheroes are for little kids" thing to heart. Just accept it: superheroes are cool and people like them. People do not like Batman because he's a guy who fights crime. They like him because he dresses like a bat to do it. If you don't want to write comics and make TV shows about brightly-colored heroes punching villains, perhaps you should have considered a different career path. It's not like there aren't any other writing opportunities for comic books. But as it happens, you are a company about superheroes. So for the love of crap, just make superhero stories. And if this isn't your fault, that it's the WB who are the morons who don't get this, QUIT. They will never understand it and you will only be more and more frustrated by their idiocy. Go the Image route and make a new company and do great things (eventually).

-Linkara.

And now, if you'll all excuse me, I a 27 year-old adult, am going to listen to this Halloween jukebox. http://www.i-mockery.com/halloween/jack-o-juke/

You know, some days I worry about my love of comics books. Then I read a comic about baseball stars fighting a giant tree monster.

Uh...you are aware that Amanda Waller has been forcing criminals to do her bidding (and the government's) with exploding collars or other such lethal methods has been a central aspect of her character since the 80s right? We even see a bit of it in the DCAU with Task Force X.

As for your movie review, I haven't seen the movie yet but when I do I will post my own thoughts. Hopefully its better than Justice League War or Son of Batman, because both of those were awful.

I watched Batman: Assault on Arkham and I will it's definitely better than Son of Batman.
Definitely not much batman in it, he's not really even especially important to the plot. He also had this stupid dull-eyed look I really hated.

Think you're being too harsh on DC animated movies (and DC in general), they're all pretty entertaining and a lot of them are based heavily upon comics. They're definitely better than most Marvel animated films.

Then again, my favourite DC character is Batman so perhaps I really don't care about what DC does to its other characters.

As I said Paraksy, not everybody wants to get into the dark and gloomy stories, DC is only doing what it's been doing since 2011 to attract the same readers it always had: Straight Young Adult Men.

Why not go outside that demographic and attract women, children, more homosexual readers, as well as an older demographic?
Source? Because frankly I see nothing about DC that is "only for straight young adult men." You're talking out of your ass.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

Well... okay I guess I did over react a bit, and yeah I had to re-watch the old Justice League Unlimited show and look for any Suicide Squad comic before the reboot, and... Ooops, Amanda Waller is that kinda person. My mistake.

Being kinda rude ain't we Mr. Administrator?

Go ask Linkara or just watch his videos, or even videos by the Last Angry Geek and you'll see.

Or you know what, read comics before and since the reboot, compare them, and then you'll see.

Nah, Amanda Waller's been a well established character in the DCU for quite some time now. She's not a hero, nor really a villain, in fact she's not even an antihero; she is a character who considers what she does to be morally acceptable for the greater good, much like Alan Moore's characters except it takes place in the same continuity as the Justice League.

And like I said, I kinda sorta forgot Amanda Waller was this cold hearted due to her appearance in JLU.
