The sun began to rise over the city of Fenburgh. The sky was painted a brilliant pink, and the land glowed like amber. Much of the city was still covered in shadow, from the towering sky scrapers that sprouted from it like massive concrete tree. The chilled waters of the North Pacific looked almost black from the shadow the city cast on them. Despite the peaceful quiet that pervaded the air, there were still people to be found- scurrying about the streets like little ants. One particular building stood out among the rest. Set slightly outside of the city, a cluster of buildings sat. Made of a brick with walkways of cobblestone connecting them together, many of them had large bronze plaques designating their purpose. The largest plaque was bolted to the base of a large statue of a man riding a horse. It read 'Fenburgh University'. To the east was the building dedicated to the sciences... Ronald Byrne sat at his desk, reading a rather large book. The man was lanky and pale and his glasses reflected light away from his eyes, hiding them from view. The cacophonous silence of his classroom was only punctuated by the occasional sneeze or snapping of a pencil. Almost time for the 6 o' clock news. Byrne closed his book and stood up before his class. "Class is over. I expect to see you all tomorrow morning." The sound of college students shuffling about and amassing near the room's exit with the mob-mentality of a bunch of zombies made Byrne wonder how his professor's dealt with him when he was like that. He gave an amused snort and moved some of his silky raven hair out of his face. He only taught a couple of geology classes at the Fenburgh University, one during the late hours of the night, and one during the wee hours of the morn, so he had plenty of free time to do whatever he pleased. He sat into his leather chair and leaned back. He snatched a black tablet of of his desk and turned it on. The device immediately went to the local news. "In other news, reports of serial kidnappings have gone up-" From outside the building, the sounds of gunfire and explosions rang loud and clear. Byrne fell out of his chair, startled. After recovering, he began feeling around under his desk. Cold, colder, warmer, colder, warmer, warmer- He pulled a bleeding finger back from under the desk and sucked on it. HOT! With great haste, he grabbed the object he'd cut himself on and raised it into the air. A ball of fire fell through the roof, seemingly without damaging it, and hit the top of the object- an ax. A cloak of flames washed over Byrne, transforming him from a pale, thin man into a man-shaped shadow, with fire for hair and the raw muscle of a fighter. He opened his eyes slowly and breathed in and out deeply. The flames in his eyes grew from a dull red to a bright orange with each breath, before settling down at a warm temperature. "Can't have a day to myself, can I?" Blood rushed up to the window to the side of his room and leaped out of it, rolling as he hit the ground. "Alright, which one of you hoodlums wants a piece of-" Blood was immediately cut off by a large beam of light slamming into his stomach, sending him reeling back. He looked up while clutching his belly to see the glowing figure of a woman in clothing that shimmered with the colors of the rainbow. "Now, vigilante, we can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way." At the other end of the rather large science building was a special building recently installed for the more dangerous experiments the professors carried out. The building had been locked up due to one of said experiments. On the inside of the heavily fortified building, a man asked for tools as he concentrated on his tinkering, and a small floating sphere provided what he asked for. "Water." The black sphere levitated a bottle of the fluid over to the tinkering man, who took several loud gulps from the bottle. "Thank you, O.S.C.A.R." The man wiped his forehead on his sleeve and gave the large wrench in his hands one more heave. He struggled with the wrench in his hands. "C'mon, just one more twist should do it." The wrench moved a few inches, albeit begrudgingly. Eventually the tool refused to budge any further, and the man stood up, admiring his work. "Alright, that should do it. How’s it look on your end?” “All the sensors indicate that everything is in order, sir.” “O.S.C.A.R, You know how I feel about you calling me that. Call me Carlton.” “My apologies, with the importance of this experiment, it slipped my mind.” “Riiiight.” Carlton grunted as he stretched. Several joints popped. “If all goes well, this will be one of the most important scientific advancements in human history.” Carlton Malt looked over the device he had just finished piecing together, which bore resemblance to a large cannon, with an engine block embedded into it. He stepped out of the long corridor the made up the test area and into the control room while his little robotic companion hovered over the control consoles. “Initiating power up sequence.” A feminine voice came from the console, smooth and calm. The device began to glow and hum and pistons and gears churned. The machine whirred to life, as though it were some sleeping beast being awoken. “Power has reached optimal levels.” “All systems read normal, commencing activation sequence.” Carlton flipped a number of switches and levers in preparation. "Activation in three hundred seconds.” The console flashed a number on the screen. Five minutes. Five minutes and the machine would be fully activated. Five minutes and Carlton's life work would be real. "Hah!" Blood wiped some spittle from his lips. "You got some guts, challenging me on my home-turf! I'm not going down without a fight, so I'll take the easy way out!" Blood hurled his ax. The ax flew into the air, taking Blood with it. He turned the ax slightly, altering his course just enough that the blade was primed to slash Volume across the face. His ax came inches from he head when a rainbow shield of light shot up between the razor edge and her skull. Volume morphed her shield into ax of her own, and smacked Blood to the ground. "One last chance. Give yourself up." "Nah, I think I'd rather take another laser blast to the gut." "As you wish!" Volume's gauntlets glowed in a rapidly flashing rainbow until the colors blurred into white. Blood's ax wrapped itself in fire, glowing white hot from the heat. The two rushed each other and clashed. Blood's fiery ax letting loose hot white flames and Volume's gauntlets sending off multi-colored ribbons of light. A shock-wave sent everything blowing out from the center of the clash, fire and light battling for dominance. "Bad call, hotstuff!" Volume absorbed the light radiating from the fire, and her gauntlets emitted a loud ping. She descended to the ground and punched Blood in the gut multiple times at super-speed and then shoved him backwards against a wall with a kick to to his gut. Blood doubled over an puked up some inky-black ichor onto the ground. He groaned in pain for a couple of seconds, until his healing factor kicked in. He stumbled onto his feet weakly, and held up a hand to stop Volume from doing anything else. Blood stood up and felt himself over. He cringed as he groped his side. Blood punched himself in the rib, cracking it a second time. He took his ax and cut his own side open and grabbed the rib. He fiddled around with it a little until it was as it should be, and he kept it that way until the bones healed correctly. "Gross." As the open wound healed shut, Blood loosen himself up. "Alright, now where were we? I believe-" Volume shot forward and shoved Blood into the wall again. "I believe I was kicking your ass." "Oh, right." Blood's body flared from black to white as he charged himself with fiery power. "WELL THEN, LET US CONTINUE!" Volume shot forward once more, her gauntlets letting out a loud sound not unlike that of hot metal being quenched by water. The two combatants went to punch at each other, and their fists collided. Another shockwave. The pinging of the gauntlets grew louder and louder until it was deafening. Volume let go first, ducking under Blood's fiery fists and letting him punch nothing. With the pinging becoming louder with each second, Volume placed her fists one Blood's belly, and let loose with a deafening blast of sound sending Blood flying through the wall. And the next. And the next. And the next. Clean through the science building, leaving burning holes and bricks littered everywhere. Part of the wall flew open, and a fiery white object smashed into the device and came to a halt. The white hot object cooled, faded from white to orange, to red to black. “What the hell!? O.S.C.A.R , abort the test!” Carton bolted out of the control room to his device to find it had been damaged by the object's impact. The object itself was a man- the violent vigilante who'd been all over the news. “Why on today of all days!?” Carlton looked between the man and the damage he'd done to the the machine. worry filled his eyes. Blood's eyes shot open, and his hair flared to life. "Damn, that lady packs a wallop!" His healing factor took effect, and he occasional punched himself to readjust broken and displaced bones. "What is going on here!? Why are you in this lab!? It's off limits!" Carlton yelled at Blood, but Blood ignored him to focus on bigger matters. Volume flew in through the hole and picked up Blood by his neck. "I'm hardly one for causing property damage. We're taking this outside, bucko." Volume punched Blood in the gut. Her fists lit up and she let lose with a couple more before finishing with an uppercut that sent him flying through the ceiling. Volume followed after her target, also ignoring an increasingly frustrated Carlton. Loose bricks and debris from the building's ceiling fell on the already dented machine, pulverizing it further. Carlton coughed as dust from the debris rushed into his eyes and mouth, only being shocked out of his fit by the sound of sparks leaping from the device. He squinted, partially blinded by the dust. “O.S.C.A.R, can you tell me what’s going on? I've got dust in my eyes!” Carlton rubbed at his eyes and attempted to remove the dust, but all attempts merely resulted in pushing the dirt further in. “Something’s wrong with the system, it won’t shut down!” “WHAT!? We have to get out!” Carlton stumbled toward the light he presumed was the vigilante's entrance point. He felt the cold touch of metal under his arm help support and guide him. Carlton attempted to get out through the hole, but he heard crumbling from above and felt bits of brick hit him in the head. Thinking quickly, he shoved O.S.C.A.R. out the hole and retreated back into the lab. O.S.C.A.R. attempted to float back in to retrieve his master, looking in through a hole too small for him to go through. "Go O.S.C.A.R.!" Carlton shooed the robot away. "I'll find another exit!" O.S.C.A.R. reluctantly floated away to the science building, looking back occasionally to see how his master was doing. Carlton looked around through his clouded vision for an emergency exit. He couldn't use the normal one- it was locked with a great number of metal bars which would only open if he went through the tedious process of entering numerical codes- Carlton would've slapped himself if he had the time to- of course there was no emergency exit, the control room was fortified so as to protect from explosions! Carlton rushed to the control room as quickly as he could, but a large chunk of the ceiling fell and pinned his leg. He was seconds away from safety. He looked back at his beloved machine, and it was then he noticed that the calm, female voice was still counting down. "5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Device active." Before he could even think, the room was overtaken with a blinding flash, and everything in the blast radius was suck into a single, infinitesimally small point. O.S.C.A.R. looked back as soon as he heard the sound, only to be greeted by the sight of no building. Nothing. Just a sphere where everything that had been there, now wasn't. A tree had been sliced in half, and a crater had been carved into the earth. “SIR!!! CARLTON! Carl…” The machine desperately called out for his creator, but investigation of the area revealed neither hide nor hair of Professor Carlton Malt. “…” A bright light, exactly like the one that had 'destroyed' the building flashed through the area. Shortly thereafter, the missing hunk of rock and soil, plus the building atop it reappeared, seemingly unscathed. The reappearance was followed sound of the ground being impacted by an object at unimaginable speeds. O.S.C.A.R hovered down to the new crater to find it was man shaped, and held the body of his beloved friend, battered but breathing. “MASTER! You’re alive! Carlton, say something!” “Owwww. Watch out, O.S.C.A.R." Carlton wheezed as he sat up in his crater. "The kids are back." Carlton's eyes rolled back in his head and he fell back into the crater, unconscious. {{{{Well, Rex and I worked out our problems, and SSU2 II is ready to go. For the intro, we worked together on something that would introduce new players to how the game is played, as well as showing old players that the world isn't quite the same as it was before. Blood's parts were written by me, and Carlton's parts were written by Rex, with some editing by me to make the writing styles match up. Now, I sincerely hope you enjoy the game, because the kids are back. }}}} Edited by Kamidio, Dec 8 2013, 04:50 AM.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEP* "Ugh. I hate Mondays." Being a vigilante had wreaked havoc on Dan Smith's sleep schedule. He got about 4-5 hours of sleep each night, and while the Black Dragon of Fenburgh might be tough, he was no match for the body's sleep rhythms. "Well, another day of boring school work. Well, at least today we have art. I'll see if I can stay awake for it." Edited by Archipithecus, Dec 8 2013, 01:21 PM.

Carlton fought his way out of the haze, slowly but surely allowing his senses to work with him. "Carlton...Carlton...Carlton, can you hear me?" “Ugh…Ya, I hear you buddy.” His eyes finally open to find that he isn’t at the lab anymore. He’s now lying down on a hospital bed, with his robotic companion hovering over him. “What happened? I…can’t remember.” “The experiment failed, sir. The device malfunctioned with you trapped in the room.” “Oh ya, Now it’s coming back.” He said as he tried siting up. “Am I alright?” “Well…The doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with you, except…” “What?” “I don’t know how to explain it. I think it’s better if I show you.” O.S.C.A.R. floated to the other side of the room and dragged a full body mirror over so that Carlton could see. Once the mirror was in front of him, Carlton froze in shock. It couldn’t be real. His eyes must still be adjusting. Carlton stood up and walked up to the image staring back at him. He held up his hand to confirm. No, there’s nothing wrong with his sight. He had changed. His skin was now animated, looking as if it had been created with ink or paint. “It appears as if the accident has altered your physical form. By what I can tell, you entire molecular structure has been rewritten. “ All he could do was stand there and stare, trying to take it all in. The silence was deafening. That is until Carlton broke it. At first, it was a little sound, almost grunt or a whimper. But as it grew, it didn’t sound like grievance or mourning. It sounded like…Laughter. A light chuckle into a joyous cackle into a tremendous uproar. O.S.C.A.R was caught off-guard by the response. “Carlton, are you OK?” “OK?! I’VE NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE!!! I can’t believe it! It worked! It really worked! Sure it lost its stability before it could open a functional portal, but it still reached another world! I’m living proof it’s possible!” “But sir, Look what it’s done to you.” “I know, Isn’t it great?!” “…It is?” “Of course it is! You know how much I love cartoons! That was the entire bases for starting the AU project! I had always wanted to meet them, but I never dreamed of being able to become one! Oh I wonder if pull stuff from nowhere, or appear around corners to scare people, Or-…” “I’m just happy that you’re alright, sir.” O.S.C.A.R said to ecstatic friend, whom continued on about discovering the limits of his power.” “By the way, where did you get the clothes?” Carlton looked over the attire he was in, being neither the lab equipment he was in nor the hospital gown he expected. “You were wearing them when I came in to find you.” “Interesting. Must be some style I picked up from the other universe. I wonder what else has changed.” “Well sir, you did say something before you passed out before. Something to the effect of, ‘The kids are back.’” “Hu. Now why would I say tha- AH“ Carlton stumbled as O.S.C.A.R went in to catch him. “Sir, what’s wrong?” “It’s nothing, just got dizzy there for a second. I thought I saw something.” “What was it?” It was a…Viking looking guy…riding a…giant skeletal fish. But the weird part is…It looked familiar…” |

Volume held Blood high above the city. "Alright, vigilante. You've got to options. Come quietly and let the courts handle you, or I put that regenerative ability to the test." Blood looked down at the city and then to Volume. She had his hands clasped behind his back with a pair of cuffs generated by her gauntlets. He grinned slyly. "So, those gauntlets of yours need you to focus for it to make stuff, right?" "Yes, but I fail to see what this has to do with-" Volume was cut off ass Blood leaned in and kissed her. She kneed him in the gut in response. "You sick-!" Blood grinned widely and ran his tongue over his razor sharp teeth. "Tastes like Skittles." He moved his arms from behind his back. "And it seems a kiss is all it takes to break your concentration! Gotta admit, pretty stupid of a veteran world-saver to fall for one of the oldest tricks in the book. Well, I'd better get going now! Bless bless!" Blood held up his ax and aimed for the sky. From the ax came a black fire. The fire spread all over Blood, and traveled up Gauntlet's arm. She dropped Blood, turning him into a meteor. As he fell, Blood tossed his ax, sending him flying into the ocean. "So long, lady!" |

Jake stirred in his sleep. He was currently leaning against a wall in a deserted alley, next to a dumpster. A random pedestrian would have only seen a bunch of rags, dismissed him as trash and carried on. That was how Jake liked it. He opened his eyes and stared around him, making sure he was alone. Sure enough, the alley was deserted. He stood up quietly and streched. His hat fell off, showing two red antennae. Jake quickly picked up his hat and jammed it into his head, hising his antennae from view. He then proceeded to search through the trash people had trhown into the dumpster, lookiing for food or new clothes. These ones where strating to fall apart. The trash was revolting, and it exuded a smell which reminded him of rotten fish. He searched faster. Jake did not find food nor clothing, but he did chance upon a stray page of newspaper, dated a week ago. And written on that paper was an article about "The newest urban legend in Fenburgh: Sheathwing" Jake pondered about this. "Sheathwing, huh. Well, its better than the Bug-man of the Grasshopper..." He sat down again and started to read the grubby piece of newspaper. |

After checking over Carlton again, the meds determined he was healthy enough to leave, though they advised he take a cane for the dizzy spells. He and O.S.C.A.R were making their way back to the lab, with our dear professor continuing on about his newly acquired abilities. “Alright O.S.C.A.R, This is the first day of the rest of my life as a superhero. So much to get done, I have to test my power set, I have to get some publicity, I’ll have to-.” “Let’s just focus on getting the collage up to speed on the incident for now. Although the building was still intact, they will probably a briefing on why it had disappeared into thin air.” “I know, I know. I’m just so excited. Getting to be a hero is the dream of every kid…in…the…world…” “Sir?” O.S.C.A.R look to see Carlton has stopped walking to stare at the pub they had been passing. The building was shaped like a backwards L and had a rustic, log cabin feel about it. “…Have we ever been here before?” “Not to my recollection, sir. In fact I don’t think I have logs of us ever going to a bar.” “I could have sworn. It feels like I know this place.” “It could be that another location that looks similar you’re thinking of.” “Ya, you could be right” Just as they were leaving, the sound of an argument started to rise out of the alley next to the bar. The pair looks to find a man, kind of short and clearly drunk, failing to flirt with tall woman who looks like she could be anywhere else right now. O.S.C.A.R turned to Carlton, who had a look on his face that the floating sphere didn’t like. “Sir, I know what thinking.” “I need to test my powers.” “You’re not well enough for combat.” “This punk? I could take him before.” Before the argument could continue, he walked away from his friend and over the feuding duo. “Excuse me, is there a problem here?” “None of your business, now piss off!” the man slurred out. “Is that true ma’am?” “I said get the F&%K out of here!” “It’s alright, I can handle it.” The girl said, ignoring the drunkard. “What’d you say, Bitch? I’ll put you in your place.” “Hey! You want her, you go through me first.” “Oh ya? You think you can take me?” “I don’t think it, short stuff, I know. Come on, Right here.” Carlton patted his chest daring him to go through with it. The man reels back a wobbly fist…and promptly sends Carlton flying across the street and into building wall. “MASTER! Are you ok?!” “Ugh. Of course I get the guy with super strength.” Carlton crawls out of the hole in the wall and looks himself over. “Well, I seem to be able to take a hit. I seem fi-WHOA!” A brick flew past his head and shattered behind him. The drunk stumbles to grab another one. “I’ll cover for you, sir.” O.S.C.A.R places himself between them and deflecting the brick in midair, slamming it into the road below. The man seems more intent on hitting the black target now and has forgotten Carlton who has now slunk off to the side to recuperate. He looks around for something to attack with, eventually remembering the big wooden stick he had been given earlier. The professor slowly creeps up on the attacker until he’s close enough and… “AAA!!!” The stick stops dead in its tracks, the man whose head it had impacted didn’t even flinch. “Well that didn’t workAGH!” Carlton’s cane was grabbed and spun around, sending it and its owner flying into the road. The drunk was quickly upon him, O.S.C.A.R attempting to intercept, but was backhanded out of the scene for his trouble. Carltons face was about to be pounded into the pavement, but before the deed could be done; the assailant was struck by a blue ball of light. Both parties turn to see the woman with her hand pointed the drunk, glowing with the same blue energy. “If you want a real fight, I’m right here.” The drunk charges at her, but she easily catches his punch and spins him around. In his stupor he fall to the ground, and when he gets up and tries again, Large blue wings shoot out from her back, stunning him and allowing her to get airborne, handing her the upper hand in this fight. |

Jake finished reading the grubby article and deposited the paper back into the trash. It had been a curious article, more or less impartial, which is more than all the other newspapers had said. One would think he was... a monster. Jake shook his head and stood up. The Sun had warmed him and he was eager to begin a new day. Granted, he was hungry, but he pushed it out of his mind. Sticking his hands into his coat pockets, hiding them from view, he went out of the alley and into the street. |

The girl unleashed a volley of energy shots and let them rain down on the rampaging drunk. Carlton crawled out of his crater and slinked into the background, not wanting to gain the drunks attention again. O.S.C.A.R, finally returned to the scene and rejoins his creator at his side “Are you alright buddy?” “Yes sir, and you?’ “Better than a man who just got launched into the road should be.” He then directed the conversation to the girl that was covering for them. “Have to admit, did not expect to meet two supers from this.” “Well the amount of registered humans with metaphysical abilities in this state alone is approximately-“ “Please, don’t start with the statistics right now O.S.C.A.R.” Just then, the drunk hurled another brick into the air, which the girl sliced right through with energy claws. However, she’s starting to look tired, and she’s losing altitude fast “I don’t know how much more she can take.” “Do you have a plan of attack?” Um, well, let’s see…uuuhhh, Oh! Cartoon characters can pull stuff from nowhere, so if I just…” He reached into his sleeve and felt around for anything. The fruits of his labor were a business card, “No.” A pad of paper, “No.” And a lit stick of TNT. “HOLY!!!” The professor juggled the explosive in his hands until he remembered why he had grabbed it in the first place. “Hey Tiny! Catch!” The drunk did catch the stick and stared at it for a second in confusion before it blew up in his face, knocking him out. With him indisposed for now, he went to check up on his female compatriot, who was by now grounded and trying to catch her breath. “You ok?” “Sure. *pant* I’m just *pant* a little drained. *pant*” “I’ve managed to get him down, but I don’t know how long he’ll stay like that.” “I can tie him up, *pant* but I’m going to need to recharge. *pant* Can you help me with that?” “Sure, what do I have to MMPH!!” Carlton was cut off as the girl forced her lips to his. As they pressed together, the same blue energy that she used for her attacks could be seen traveling from his mouth to hers. This embrace lasted only a few seconds before she broke off, seeming to have regained her composure. “Thanks, I needed that.” She grabbed a long pipe from the alley and started wrapping it around the drunk, who started to wake up just as the police arrived. He struggled to pry the metal apart, but his strength was apparently no match for hers. As the police took him away, the girl walked back over to Carlton. “Thanks for the boost; I wouldn’t have been able to do that without…” She paused as she notices that Carlton hadn’t moved from his spot. In fact, he hadn’t moved a single muscle. “Is he alright?” She asks O.C.S.A.R as he took a look for himself. “I’m not sure. He hasn’t done this before.” They waved around in front of his face, attempting to illicit a response. Eventually he starts to loosen up, but they had to keep him from falling backwards as his legs fell out from under him. “Whoa there, you ok?” “Ya, I’m fine. Been getting asked that a lot today, though.” “What happened to you back there?” “Well, you surprised me really. Didn’t expect you to…do that.” “Oh, well that’s how I recharge. My powers are fueled by life energy, this power found in all living things. I can’t generate enough of it myself, so I have to take some from others through intimate contact.” “Intimate contact?” O.S.C.A.R parroted. “Ya, and stealing a kiss is the easiest and most effective method. Though there are more…enjoyable ways to obtain it.” Carlton was fighting back a blush as she described her powers. “So you’re a succubus, then?” “I suppose you could see it that way. Still, did you really have to act so surprised? I mean it not like that was your first kiss.” The blush Carlton fought down spread across his face as he tried to look away. “Really? A cute guy like you, that was your first kiss?” All that accomplished was making his blush take over his entire face. Luckily for him, this conversation was interrupted when a news van rolled up and a camera crew filled out. “ Hello, I’m Lois O’Neil from SNN, could you please answer a few questions for us?” “Um, sure.” The group turned to face the reporter as Carlton got up worked on fading away his blush. “How was it that you were able to take down the Bar room Bruiser?” “I’m sorry, the whom?” O.S.C.A.R inquired. “The Bar room Bruiser. This man has been terrorizing pubs around the city for a while now, and police hadn’t been able to apprehend him until now.” “Oh, well you see,” Carlton attempted to make himself sound impressive “ I found the Bar room Bruiser harassing my friend here, so I decided to step in and teach him a lesson .” “So you were responsible for defeat, is that correct?” “Weeeell yes and no. I did eventualy knock him out, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it with O.S.C.A.R and…I never got your name.” “It’s Rose.” “Very well, and Rose, who admittedly did most of the fighting.” “I see, and what is your name?” “Carlton. Carlton Malt.” “Yes, and your hero name?” “My hero name?” Yes. You’re a superhero, so you have to have a super name.” “Right, my super name. Let’s see, um… Cartoons are crazy, crazy, zainy, manic, manx, man-x Man-X! My name is Man-X!” “You heard it here first folks, it seems like our fair city has some new defenders in O.S.C.A.R, Rose and Man-X . The streets are ever safer with this team on guard. This is Lois O’Neil, signing off.” After finishing her report, she and her crew vanished as quickly as they arrived. For a minute our team stood in the silence before the newly branded Man-X looked up to Rose. “I meant what I said. I couldn’t have taken that guy on without you. Is there any way we can repay you?” “Well, I just got into town, so I could use a warm bed to sleep in tonight.” “Sure, No problem…And just to make sure, ‘Warm bed’ in this case means-“ “Whatever you want it to mean.” Rose teased with a light smile. “Right. I’ll clean out the guest room.” |

When Zeus arrived at the seen, the glowing man was trying to bend a steetlight. "Stop this chaos now, or I will have to stop it for you!" said Zeus, trying to sound heroic. Then the man turned to him, Zeus could see that his eyes have the same glow as the weird lines. When he looked into the eyes, Zeus got a feeling of madness. But it was not for long, as Zeus could snap out of it just in time to avoid being hit by the bend streetlight that was thrown towards him with amazing speed. "Damn, why do these guys never give up" he said and sighed. Zeus ran towards the glowing villain, stopped right in front of him, lifted his right hand and shot a powerful lightning blast that sent the man flying into a truck on the other side of the street, where he lies down completely still. Zeus slowly walks towards the villain, and when he's not standing up Zeus kneels before him, inspecting the glowing lines. Then he sees that the flesh around the lines has turned into glass, and the rest is slowly turning too. Suddenly the man opens his eyes and the feeling of madness returns to Zeus, before the strong glass hand firmly grabs his neck and he's lifted from the ground. The glowing man slams Zeus two times into the truck before throwing him up in the air. In the air Zeus quickly summons a wind and stays in the air, constantly blasting his foe with lightning. After seeing that the man has fully turned into a glass beast, he dives towards the man and shocks him with an immense electric discharge by placing his hands on the shoulders. The mans eyes turn white and the glowing lines faint before the body shatters into thousands of glass shards. When Zeus looks around to see the damage, he hears a person clapping from an alley. When he looks that way, he sees someone coming out of the shadows.... |

(Dude, sign them up. Now. Can't use a character without them being signed up.) Byrne inhaled deeply as he broke the surface of the water. It was cold, not yet heated up by the sun. Byrne treaded water until he reached the shore. Once he hit the rocky beach, he crawled up some rocks and laid down on the largest, flattest one he could find. Completely exhausted, Byrne fell asleep. |

Jake stoppped. He could have sworn he had heard some explosions nearby. He looked around covertly. The place looked deserted, not a soul in sight. Not even the usual early risers. Jake started walking again in the generl direction the noise had come from, although he expected it to be over by the time he arrived. He could get there faster if he used his wings, but he repressed the thought. The last thing he needed was showing off how much he had changed. He quickened his pace. Soon the streets started to fill up gradually, as if a danger had passed. Deflating, Jake leaned against a lonely wall, feeling the pangs of hunger intensify. He really needed to eat something... |

As Dan wandered downstairs, he turned on the TV. "...this is Lois O’Neil, signing off. "And now in other news. The newest arrival to the list of Fenburgh urban legends. Reports have been coming in from mugging victims about a large reptilian creature chasing off their attackers. Witnesses agree it was about ten to fifteen feet long, and pure black. Some say it also had large wings, and that it would drop out of the sky. We can only hope that this creature is benevolent." |
