Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Registration is free and instantaneous.

Okay, I've added him but no more for now. I think there are plenty of people in that group now, you should all be able to handle it.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

Okay! I've created the subforum (I'll need descriptions for them if you want them though), and I've done something a bit different. Previously I had people assigned individually to different subforums for different projects as moderators, but you are all now members of a new group of moderators: the Community Project Moderation Department. Each of you has moderator abilities that apply to everything in the community projects section, please use your power wisely (and let me know if something is up, such as you having mod powers in other areas or none at all, because I had some issue creating that group but I think I got it all fixed up). If you abuse these powers, I will take them from you. If you do well with them, I may promote you to a global mod since your group actually has more members than the global mods (by one, at any rate). I hope this is satisfactory.
I have no mod powers.

Okay, try it now. I think I solved the problem but we'll see.

I still can't pin the topic I'm trying to pin in my section. I still have no moderator options.

That's really odd, by all means you should. I can't really see what would be going wrong here. Let me look into it some more then.

Yeah, I just fixed that. Are you sure you don't have moderator abilities? You don't have a little drop down menu at the bottom of each page that says "Moderation" next to a submit button? Honestly I'm not seeing how you couldn't have them. I've triple checked everything, by all rights you should have these powers.

Okay, try it now. I think I may have had moderation turned off for that particular section of the forum. I hope this works...

I now have access, via a bar in the top right corner of threads in that and only that section, that lets me close, delete, open, and rename threads.

I cannot move threads, nor pin them, nor select them from the forum menu to do anything with them.

Alright, so we've made progress. I can't figure out why you're unable to do that last bit of moderating though. We'll get this figured out soon though!

Good! Apparently I had given you moderator powers in the Community Projects forum, but for some reason it didn't include all the subforums contained within it, so I had to enable them for every single subforum therein. Only took us a couple hours to find the solution that took a couple seconds!
