“Hello. My name is Man-X. Years ago, I began work on a groundbreaking experiment. A device that would allow for instantaneous travel between the real world and the worlds of fiction. But, I was doing it for all the wrong reasons. You see, I had grown tired of the world I grew up in. Disease, poverty, famine, oppression, so many plights that never seemed to be letting up. So I tried to escape to a new world, one of those fantastic worlds that had been painted to me during my childhood. When I finally tried to make the jump, something happened. I was sucked into the cartoon world, and immediately launched back out. The experience changed me. Somehow, by some miracle of science, the nature of that universe fused to my very being. I became the very thing I sought out. It was at that moment that a wave of clarity washed over me. I saw that, no matter how perfect those other worlds seemed to me at the time, in reality there is no such thing as a perfect world. There was always some dark shadow that crept into everywhere I could possibly go. I realized that I would never find utopia…but I could work for the closest thing. Paradise isn’t something you can run away to. You have to pick up the tools, and build it yourself. And thanks to that wondrous accident, I now had the ability not only to build this paradise, but to share it with all. Not just this world, but with all worlds. One glorious city, acting as the hub for which all matter of beings can come and sample my vision. This is that city. This is Wonderland. Of course, Rome was not built in a day, and neither will my vision. However, if everyone helps out, and grabs a tool, who knows what greatness we can achieve.”
This is a little writing experiment I'm working on. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

Well I revised this a bit, and here is the new blurb, along with several character bios.

“Hello. My name is Man-X, and I had a dream. I wanted to be able to meet the greatest creatures the human mind could ever produce. I wanted to see the living, breathing versions of beasts of the silver screen or the written word. I wanted to experience fiction as reality. After years of toil, I had succeeded, and now I want to share it with you. This is that dream. This is F.I.N.D.R, the greatest biological reserve ever to exist. Within these walls lies a menagerie of organisms displaced from their home universes, places here for their comfort and your enjoyment.”

CHARACTER NAME: Carlton Malt/Man-X
CHARACTER BIO: Ever since he was a child, Carlton Malt has loved cartoons. Every Saturday morning he could be found glued to the TV screen, entranced by the colorful antics of the painted people. As he aged, his interests expanded to include comic books, movies and literature. However, despite his intense love for media, he did not let it distract him from his schoolwork. He achieved high marks every term and graduated at the top of his class. He became a scientist, working to untangle the mysteries of the universe. While he was living a comfortable life, Carlton retained his love for the shows that strived to entertain him as a kid. One day, he had a thought. What if the shows he loved actually existed in another universe? After working out the mathematics, he presented his theory to the scientific community, along with plans for a device that could allow for travel to those worlds. While people were skeptical, Carlton was granted the go-ahead. He assembled a team and began construction on his device. When they tried to run the device for the first time, however, something went wrong. The device malfunctioned, and the area around the device was displaced, Carlton along with it. For a brief instant, Carlton was everywhere at once. He experiences all things that exist. But just as quickly as he disappeared, Carlton was thrown back into his own world. Only he wasn’t quite Carlton anymore. His being launched through the multiverse caused his body to become acclimated with another world’s physics. Specifically, a cartoon world’s physics. While Carlton was ecstatic over his new abilities, he didn’t have much time to enjoy them. Soon, distortions in the fabric of reality open up ‘breaks’ that lead to the worlds he wished to reach. Now armed with his powers and a team of allies, he fights to contain the creatures that invade his world as the superhero, Man-X!
POWERS: Man-X has abilities that coincide to the physics of a Cartoon universe. Examples include:
-Access to a storage dimension that exists just outside the field of vision. He can use this dimension to summon items ranging from sticks of TNT to large aircraft carriers, or to spontaneously teleport from one location to another.
-Resisting most forms of conventional attack. Injuries such as gunshots, crushing, slicing, dicing, being lit on fire, being frozen today, being turned into a fine pink powered by any number of methods, Ect, Ect, do no lasting damage. This effect is transmutable to people Man-X interacts with.
-General reality warping. Doing things that shouldn’t be doable via regular physics, such as walking in midair or flying by spinning a pipe.
-And others.
WEAKNESSES: These powers do not always work as they should. Often the outcome is dictated by what would be funniest in that moment.
Man-X’s mind is rather weak, and can be easily swayed by hypnosis, music, or attractive woman.
The chemical formula Turpentine acetone benzene, commonly referred to as Dip, rapidly eats away at Man-X’s physiology.

CHARACTER NAME: Eleanor (Ellie) Bates
CHARACTER BIO: Eleanor Used to work as a technician for the nefarious slime tech industries, Toiling in the horrid conditions to complete a secret project. Slime tech had discovered an ancient tablet containing instructions on creating powerful, shape shifting warriors. While the exact process could not be replicated, they believed that could create soldiers that could inhabit robotic bodies into battle. Eleanor was one of many “inducted” into the project and her transformation was their first success. They kept her trapped in a simple construct so that she could be studied and paraded like a trophy. But one day, Eleanor escaped from her prison, riding the power lines out of the facility, and finding an abandoned factory to set up shop in. Now she builds the benefit of mankind, and to undermine Slime techs regime.
POWERS: Eleanor can inhabit any electronic device and control it from the inside. With her expertise in electronics, she can construct a number of automatons to use as bodies, with some needed for different things. Her main body is a giant metal snake with 2 saw blade fangs, and a number of different weapons stored within its maw.
WEAKNESSES: She has a deathly phobia of water, and being turned into electricity didn’t help the matter. She can deal with small amounts like rain. But deeper waters are more dangerous. Individual bodies might have exploitable weaknesses unique to them.

CHARACTER NAME: Polly /Paul
CHARACTER BIO: Thousands of years ago, Rome and Carthage battled in what would be latter called the Punic wars. Carthage was in direr straights, and needed an edge over the Roman threat. Hannibal began work on an experiment to create super soldiers, warriors that could change into any shape needed on the battlefield. Despite his best efforts, the project never reached full expectations, and in the end Carthage, and the project, was lost. However, tales of some of the surviving soldiers, people who could mold there very bodies into fantastic forms, persisted to the present day. Polly is one of those soldiers.
POWERS: Polly can shape shift, turning into different forms thanks to a vapor physiology. A cloud of mist forms around her as she shifts, helping to shape the flesh or to add/subtract mass as needed. This also comes with required secondary powers such as high pain tolerance, immunity to disease, bottomless stomach, and an encyclopedic knowledge of biology.
WEAKNESSES: She’s at her strongest when using a humanoid form. While she can turn into a great many things, it’s usually with greater difficulty. She also has a finite amount of body mass to work with, so she can’t change into a 50 tall version of herself. Any extra size she puts on is relatively little. She can shrink, but it takes effort, and all that lost mass would be floating around her in mist form. She’s become a bit absent minded, a side effect of living for so long. She can’t remember much of her long past, even up to original gender. (She identifies as a girl, but often takes the form of a guy in combat.)

CHARACTER NAME: Robin Lark
CHARACTER BIO: Robin had grown up all her life wanting to be a star. She had a beautiful singing voice and she spent all of her spare time perfecting her act. Once she was ready she went out to perform and people were impressed. Her greatest dream was coming true, but it was not to last. She suddenly found that her lustrous voice was starting to fade. She was going mute. Robin was desperate to keep her key to the limelight, and one medical company had the answer. While surgery was too risky, they had an experimental drug that could bring her voice back…with some added benefits. She accepted and the trial period began. Soon she discovered what they meant by the benefits. Soon she started developing air based powers. It turns out that she had been injected with an experimental military drug that would give people superhuman powers. While Robin still has to get used to her new abilities, she is happy about the change and is willing to use them to help out in any way.
POWERS: Robin can control the air. She can vibrate air molecules to produce any number of sounds and frequencies. She uses this ability to talk, create blast of pressurized air, and even limited flight capabilities.
WEAKNESSES: She’s just learning to control her powers, so she has a lot of potential she hasn’t figured out yet and crutches to work around. For example, she still needs to use American Sign Language to speak clearly. Her powers are also near useless underwater.
Not sure exactly why I'm posting this here. I think I'm just bored.
