Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Well I watched the trailer in Imax, and even that was mind blowing....
I really need to go see this, but good cinemas in spain are really rare :c
"You shall perish, whatever you do! If you are taken with arms in your hands, death! If you beg for mercy, death! Whichever way you turn, right, left, back, forward, up, down, death! You are not merely outside the law, you are outside humanity. Neither age nor sex shall save you and yours. You shall die, but first you shall taste the agony of your wife, your sister, your sons and daughters, even those in the cradle! Before your eyes the wounded man shall be taken out of the ambulance and hacked with bayonets or knocked down with the butt end of a rifle. He shall be dragged living by his broken leg or bleeding arm and flung like a suffering, groaning bundle of refuse into the gutter. Death! Death! Death!"

This is awesome.
A hard mathematical figure provides a sort of enlightenment to one's understanding of an idea that is never matched by mere guesswork.

I'm going to see it again on Thursday with my mate, looking forward to it. Upon further reflection, I've decided who Newton Geiszler reminds me of. Fantastic from Fallout: New Vegas. Film would be much better if they removed him, let us spend more time with the Russia and Chinese Pilots.

Also I found this. Neat.

Specific Rim made me laugh my ass off first time I saw it.

If you liked this film, I'd recommend checking out Godzilla × Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.

One of the best films I have seen this year, absolutely awesome and I really recommend it. I would happily pay to see a prequel revolving around the Kaiju Wars in the full, if only it had been a trilogy :( the idea of 30 Jaegers stomping around was just too awesome. And I would of liked to have seen more of the first attack in San Fransisco when they had to use conventional arms.
I believe we had a prequel movie about the first attack. It was called Cloverfield :D

Cloverfield was shaky cam, which just makes me feel ill. I want to see the military pummeling monsters with tomahawks not getting motion sickness.

I liked Cloverfield. Doesn't hold a candle to Pacific Rim, but I liked the style.

Pacific Rim was a in some ways a response to Cloverfield.

Cloverfield showed us how horrific an attack would be, and posed the questions, what would you do personally, and humanity do collectivity.

Pacific Rim answered. Build giant robots and punch them!

Actually thinking about it, maybe I do need to give the film a rewatch. I rarely enjoy shakey camera films 'Monsters' was one of the exceptions, I really recommend you guys watch that film.
