| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. Item #: SCP-841-EX Object class: Special Containment Procedures: Due to the inability to properly contain SCP-841-EX at this time and his history of compliance and cooperation with SCP staff, he is allowed free access to all non-restricted areas of the facility. Access to higher security areas is only to be allowed if accompanied by proper personnel. Description: SCP-841-EX appears to be a Caucasian human male in his early twenties, Normally 1.7526 meters (5ft 9in) in height. Skin appears to be animated and can act rubbery under certain conditions. SCP-841-EX, locally known as “Man-X”, is a human from an alternate universe similar in description to a comic book. Subject states that he has experimented in inter-universal travel in his home world, one attempt resulting in his current form. The subject is, for all intensive purposes, a “Super hero”. SCP-841-EX has the ability of a cartoon protagonist. Physics do not obey the same rules for him as they do for the rest of the world. Any injuries sustained, no matter how severe, will be non-fatal and subject will returned to a normal unharmed state within seconds. SCP-841-EX apparently has the ability to project these abilities onto others, though he states to not have control of this power. Origin: SCP-841-EX was discovered when a Security Alarm was activated at Site-[DATA EXPUNGED] on [DATA EXPUNGED]. Subject was captured and question. When asked why and how he got into the facility, he stated, “I was just passing through.” Addendum 841-EX-00: Since subject has gone into thorough detail of the origin of his abilities, he has been classified under explained. Addendum 841-EX-01: Subject had requested to be classified as Safe. While faculty argued that SCP-841-EX’s powers classified an XK-class threat and subsequent Keter level classification, he insisted that would not/could not use his powers in such a way. A Euclid classification was eventually agreed upon. Addendum 841-EX-02: SCP-841-EX has requested permission to be used to test how other SCP’s reacted to his unusual nature. Permission has been granted and experiment files will be released as they become available. |

Testing subject--SCP-2203 SCP-841-EX successfully utilized SCP-2203-2 as was intended. For the puroses of bringing back samples of his excursion, 841-EX was provided with a package of air-tight plastic specimen bags, a video camera, and a sketchpad. SCP-841-EX returned twenty-five minutes later, having suffered none of the ill effects typical of test subjects over eight years old. However, no samples, photographs, or sketches were recovered. Upon debriefing, SCP-841-EX simply claimed that "You guys aren't ready for what was in there." |

You guessed it. I always thought it would make a good SCP, if it weren't for the "no SCPs from pre-existing fiction" rule. |

No, because I don't have an account there and they have a rule that SCPs can't be based on outside fiction. Or are you talking to trex841? |

Sadly no, I fear that Man-X would fall well past the sites Mary sue kill line. And Squib, Nice SCP entry, got a good chuckle out of me. |

Testing Subject: SCP- 1575 SCP-841-EX suggested that his powers could be used to prevent serious injury to subjects during transformative SCP experiments. Testing with SCP-1575 was arranged to see if claims held true. So far, subjects of SCP-1575-1 kept under SCP-841-EX’s care have held a 100% survival rate despite age or species. Subjects also report less pain during transformation, though the process is still apparently unpleasant. Despite all this, however, Male specimens are no longer affected by SCP-1575 and no female subjects have achieved a full transformation, always retaining some vestige of their former morphology. SCP-841-EX also appears to have an unprecedented effect over the transformation, often resulting in unusual mutations. Tests 1575-841-EX Subject: Female Japanese field mouse (Adopemus argenteus), adolescent Result: Mutations ended after 27 days. Subject retained whiskers, ears, tail and size of previous form Notes: This test was used as a comparison to typical SCP-1575 exposure. Because the reason for the ‘control’ subjects expiration did not occur in this test, another test was needed. Subject: Female Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), adult Result: Mutations ended after 24 days. Subject retained whiskers, ears, tail, claws and eyes retained from previous form. Skin and hair coloration was also unchanged. Notes: SCP-841-EX had to remain with test subject for [DATA EXPUNGED] before subject became placid enough for testing. Because ‘control’ subject expiration was a result of human error, Test was considered invalid. “Whose idea was it to move from field mouse directly to Bengal tiger?! I know I’m a cat person but come on people! I want a say in test animals from now on.” – SCP-841-EX. (Request was granted and reprimands were noted.) Subject: Female Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus), preadolescent Result: Mutations ended after 35 days. Subject appeared fully transformed, except all body hair was replaced with blue feathers. Notes: Subsequent noninvasive scanning revealed that subject retained many internal avian features such as hollow bones and air sacks. Subject: Female housefly (Musca domestica), adult Results: Mutations ended after 41 days. Subject retained head from previous form, including compound eyes and proboscis. Notes: Specimen has lived longer than previously anticipated. It is unknown if this is a product of SCP-1575 or SCP-841-EX. Subject: Female housefly (Musca domestica), adult Results: Mutations ended after 42 days. Subject retained wings and number of limbs from previous form. Notes: Despite subject undergoing the same test as previous subject, mutations resulted in significantly altered final form. Subject: California Banana slug (Ariolimax californicus), adolescent Results: Mutations ended after 34 days. Subject appeared fully transformed, however, the subject presents feature of sexual characteristics, primary and secondary, of both male and female humans. Subject also had a thin film of slime coving the outer layer of skin at all times and a tongue covered in small teeth indicative of a radula. Notes: Test was preformed to record the effects of SCP-1575 on hermaphroditic specimens. “Can we please stop testing on Detritivores? It’s getting…nauseating.” – SCP-841-EX Subject: Female Common Goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus), adolescent Results: Mutations ended after 32 days. Subject appears fully transformed waist up. Hind limbs fused together to forms cetacean like fluke as opposed to a fish like tail, covered in orange scales. Hair is same color as scales. Notes: Subject initially experienced no change in size, not growing throughout the 32 day period of experimentation. Only afterwards when subject was transferred to a larger tank did noticeable size increase occur. Subject was moved to increasingly larger tanks until growth stopped at roughly human size. Testing procedures updated, all subjects are to be held in an enclosure appropriate to subject size AFTER experimentation. Subject: Female soup fin shark (Galeorhinus galeus), adolescent Results: Mutations ended after 15 days. Subject gained head and arms of human form, but no other notable changes occurred. Notes: Test was conducted to document if SCP-1575’s mutagenic effect was retained in salt water. Mutagenic effects appear to be hampered, but not eliminated by the change. Subject: Sunflower, (Helianthus annuus), adult Results: No mutations within 2 month test period. Notes: Experiment conducted to observe if SCP-841-EX and SCP-1575’s effect was transmutable to plant life. Oh well, worth a shot.- SCP-841-EX |

"Interesting, but I've actually updated my wardrobe since you started drawing that. I wear a vaudeville style vest and bowtie, with the red and yellow pattern. Suspenders to, but I actually don't know what type they are. And my mallet has upgraded to a cane that I can attach different ends to. Also a fedora, fedoras are cool." And it doesn't match at all. "Do I look like the kind of person who cares if it matches?" Point. What kind of shoes you wear? "Hmm...I'm thinking boat shoes." Boat shoes? "My dad wore boat shoes." |

{"God damn dude. Boss man here worked pretty damn hard on that design. You gotta keep in mind that an artist has to draw that and it's gotta stay consistent. That drawing is from half a year ago, and he's still drawing you like that because of how he likes the simplicity, which is pretty reflective of your personallity, dumbass."} Damn straight, Ronnie. I'd also like to point out that after seeing the old drawing, I decided on drawing a 'Carly Malt/Womania' to go with Karl, Isabel, Vicki, and Rosie/Vamp. |

{"They're mittens!"} What he said. Also, I said a while back that the entire look was inspired by Fairly OddParents, with hints of Danny Phantom. {"Carlton is an average kid, who no one understands. Mom and dad and Vicki always giving him commands!"} Bed, twerp! {"Yo, Carlton Malt he was just fourteen when built a very strange machine. When it didn't work, he just quit; but then he took a look inside of it. There was great big flash and every thing just changed!"} His molecules got all rearranged! Yeah. |

"Really...Ok, I think I can see the mittens." Also, I'm not sure how much of the 'no one understands' part is canon anymore. I've rewritten his Bio for a project I'll be working on. In fact, I could post it here...when it's done. |
