| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! So I decided that this forum would be the best to talk about tulpas, since everyone here should be openminded and not immediately call fake. A tulpa is a sapient hallucination. After about 100 hours (it's different for everyone) of mediation and a ton more of narration (just talking to it throughout the day). The idea of tulpa come from the Tibetan thoughtforms, however unlike their beliefs a tulpa cannot become physical (obviously, this forum is no place for you if you believe that's possible). My explanation will never be as good as it can be, so I'll link you to here because that's the best website to learn about tulpa. Right now I'm about 13 hours/11 days in, and I believe my tulpa is starting to show sapience, as I get a fuzzy feelings as a "yes" answer and nothing as a no answer when I ask her yes/no questions. However, on the tulpa.info forum there are at least 8 people (from my count) who have fully or almost fully sapient tulpa (several are starting on their second, and 1 has 5), with several hundred posts, so tulpa are not just some elaborate trolling attempt. |

It'd be comparable to a split personality where the second one is in a body you hallucinate. |

This disturbs me. My friend says it disturbs her, too. |
