| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. I think that, done well, feathers can make a dinosaur quite menacing. There aren't many good dromeosaurs for looks, but March of the Dinosaurs has some pretty cool tyrannosaurs. Not quite accurate, but it's closer than none at all. |

I took a while. But Im here. To clear things up. Only one "version" of the dinosaurs from the book have their DNA filled in with that from the African Clawed Frog. It is these ones that can change sex and so, breed. |

"You shall perish, whatever you do! If you are taken with arms in your hands, death! If you beg for mercy, death! Whichever way you turn, right, left, back, forward, up, down, death! You are not merely outside the law, you are outside humanity. Neither age nor sex shall save you and yours. You shall die, but first you shall taste the agony of your wife, your sister, your sons and daughters, even those in the cradle! Before your eyes the wounded man shall be taken out of the ambulance and hacked with bayonets or knocked down with the butt end of a rifle. He shall be dragged living by his broken leg or bleeding arm and flung like a suffering, groaning bundle of refuse into the gutter. Death! Death! Death!" | |

How come, Cephylus? And guys, what creatures would you like? I don't care if the dinos there are inaccurate; I would enjoy it if they were, but they were GEd, as Tartarus said. I would like dinofrogs, as well as some of South America's amazing megafauna before the interchange, e.g. terror birds, glyptodonts, ground sloths, Thylacosmilus, etc. And giant bugs like Arthropleura and Meganeura wouldn't hurt either, not to mention eurypterids and Pulmonoscorpius. |

They are on tiny Costa Rican islands, too small to support what they already have let alone more large animals. I think what we have now is enough. |

Well, I love the movies and love the Michael Crichton novels even more, but I feel the Jurassic Park series is completed. Its story is complete, and I think there isn't a possibility that a fourth story can be made. Another movie, in my opinion, has a big probability of ruining the original purity of the movies before it. Nor do I think the movie can be really successful. I think a lot of Jurassic Park fans share this opinion as well.

That's why a remake/stealth sequel should be made. All we need is a writer as good as the guys that worked on the planet of the apes reboot. |

Or, make a new damned film. They are dinosaurs you don't have to limit yourself to the Jurassic Park name to make them sell! How about you make film where aliens terraformed Venus and put dinosaurs there? Or an eccentric cabal of billionaires recreate dinosaurs hunting? How about some xenofiction? A thriller about the fight over the frozen carcasses of the last Antarctic dinosaurs? Travel to alternate worlds where dinosaurs survived and were somehow not entirely wiped out by less interesting archosaurs? |

I dont want a a Jurassic Park IV either, and there are few dinosaur film ideas that I would enjoy. |

I would like to see some high fantasy style film with its lands inhabited by prehistoric creatures or maybe a decent version of 'A Journey to the Centre of the Earth.' They could make it some kind of Steam punk thriller and twist the basic adventure story

I love Ray Harryhausen, there is just something timeless about stop motion animation. |

What would be really cool is if you took stop-motion and used a little CGI to help it fit in better with the environment and make it less jerky. That would be AWESOME! |

There are supposed to be mammoths in ASOIAF, apparently they hang out with the giants like in Skyrim. Maybe we'll see that on Game of Thrones. Dany thinks Elephants look like weird hairless ones. There should be some interesting beasts in the Hobbit but nothing prehistoric as far as I know. Edit: I think I heard someone was making a film with stop motion creatures in it.
