If you're interested in the actual story and not weak puns and terrible jokes here is the BBC story.

But if you normally do that, why is your capitalisation so erratic?

Don't go hating on calcium, it's a wonderful element.

The mother died, remember, and the offspring only survived due to human intervention. There's a very strong selection pressure against ovoviviparous chickens.

You rarely capitalise the first word in a sentence.

And this doesn't prove that archosaurs could be ovoviviparous any more than mutant terrapins prove two headed animals are the future.

No, it proves they're capable of doing so. What if the animal actually survived giving birth? What if it happened with the same animal afterwards?

Just use Fire Fox or Chrome.

Much faster and they have built in Grammar Nazis.

I've got a spell check in chrome, it's a pretty crappy Australian one but it works.

And this does not prove anything. Do we even know it actually happened?

If there was potential for ovovivipary, it woul have happened long ago. Yet this is the only case recorded in history.

Predictably, the mother died. You don't really have that much flexibility in avian bodies.
