Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Why Can't I Hold All These Mongols?

Is it because it's no where near as widely known as Kentucky?
Outside the US the average person will only know a few american states of the top of their head. Kentucky is one, Indiana isn't.
everyone knows New York, California,Kentucky,Texas,Kansas and Florida.
Indiana? Delaware? Maine?
Not so much.
Though I think that the average American would have difficulty naming any of Australia's states without a map.

Canberra? Is that a state, or just a city? I don't know. I used to know all six Australian states (there are six on the mainland, yes?), but now I can't remember them.

Actually, I hate Indiana because there is nothing there.

The Daytona 500 doesn't count either.

Canberra is the capital city and most of the Australian Capital Territory.
The other states/territories are Western Australia (where Maggoo is from), South Australia, The Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales (where I'm from), Victoria (where Melbourne is), Tasmania and Norfolk Island.

If New Zealand is a Sheep, then New South Wales is the result of Wales impregnating New Zealand.

Thus, New South Wales is a Pan.

Fakey, you do know that the Daytona 500 is in Florida, right?

Besides Fakey. Without Indiana, we wouldn't have:

  • Colonel Sanders (and thus no KFC), since he was born here
  • Michael Jackson (born in Gary, Indiana)
  • Gus Grissom, who died in the first Apollo mission (least, I'm pretty sure it was the first)
  • David Letterman, who was born here
  • a place for Abraham Lincoln (the greatest American president ever, IMO) to grow up
  • a place to defeat the Native Americans in the War of 1812
  • the best college basketball team in the nation: the Indiana University Hoosiers (five time national champions, and the last college basketball team to go undefeated (back in 1976, when we also won the championship)
  • a guy to play Fandral in the movie "Thor" (Josh Dallas, who was born in New Albany, Indiana, played Fandral)
  • there would be no Canis Lupis on this site, since he was born and raised just a few miles away from New Albany on the Indiana side of the Ohio River

1. KFC is stupid. Lee's is better.

2. Acceptable loss.

3. He'd be dead either way.

4. Craig Ferguson is better.

5. Teddy Roosevelt was the greatest president ever. Your opinion can not change that fact.

6. It wasn't even Indiana back then, so it doesn't count.

7. The only good things to come out of basketball were the Harlem Globetrotters, Chris Barkley and the Quad City DJs, and Space Jam.

8. Thor was a terrible movie and you know it.

9. Eh, I'm sure your parents would've met up somewhere else. Perhaps somewhere more civilized, like Ohio.

I love this state, but it's not the greatest state ever. Education here is not all that great. And the state came waaaaaay too close to passing legislation that would force teachers to teach Creationism alongside evolution. Our education system is crap, which partially why I'm glad to leave the state for college (though I don't guess going to Louisville is leaving the state all that much XD ).

Anyway, if I had to pick a state to live in, I'd probably go with somewhere a little colder and more weather-consistent (I swear, Indiana is the bipolar weather state. You don't like the weather? Wait five minutes. It'll change) with a much more interesting history. Oregon or Washington maybe.

But I would also love to live in Britain (even though I know it's not a part of the United States). I always said that the Americans should've tried to pursue peace and compromise with the British more before the American Revolution. Imagine how great the British Empire would've been if America had remained a part of it.
