| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Good point, the conditioning would definitely put a wrench in things, but my thoughts go toward how people often are able to set up illegal organizations that are vast and complex for a long time. I have no idea how far the richy fingers go into people's lves in this game but I would imagine that there would be plenty of underground collections of people watching out for each other. |

You still have a better chance than if you're simply made incapable of doing it. If you're thinking about rebelling, you're not going to worry about making sure you are not altruistic. Since when have any rebels given a damn about what the law says? Also such a society sounds more likely to implode on it's own, rather than one where everyone is altered. |

Rebellions require cooperation; a single, normal human being cannot overthrow an entire regime unless s/he is omniscient in regards to it's workings. Indeed, that's kind of the point. Ryan's vision imploded, because the glorified egoism led to social and economic collapse. |

Screw preferable foes; I just wanna throw things at cyborgs with my telekinetic might! (Kidding; I actually like Bioshock's plot quite a lot, even though I've never actually played it.)

I definitely recommend it, there are so few games which can instill such a sense of dread. Especially once you first enter Rapture. |
