Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I think I'm probably going to use it in a project soon.

Please tell me what you think.

Your handwriting is atrocious. I can't complain though, mine is just as bad. I'm not much of a linguist, so I can't really offer a critique or advice. It seems rather well thought out though, I was thinking of trying my hand at making some simple priapan languages. Most based on calligraphy like Asian languages, but I'm thinking that given their method of audiovisual communication they might also have more complex ideogram based written languages. They went out of style with humans, but I have no idea how you would represent a series of biolight flashes or a hand gesture as a symbol. Besides ideograms are cool, I think they've been highly underrated by scholars of language. Always called primitive and a bad form of written language, but I think they have the potential to be a poetic, if complex, language.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

Hieroglyphs. Problem solved.
Hieroglyphs aren't ideograms, they're not even pictograms, they're phonetic. For instance if you wanted to say "belief" you would have a hieroglyph with a picture of a bee and a leaf; "bee, leaf." Belief.

What I meant was that if they speak in flashes, then different color dots could represent different flashes.

I'm a linguistics major Dragon and I speak 8 languages and can have a conversation in quite a few more.

I'm currently writing a language for my book which is what the Calma project is for.

Could you tell me a little more about who is speaking the language and what it's for?

Also, I think you should look into learning to read and write IPA (International Phonetics Alphabet), it's really easy, if you were here I could teach you. Wikipedia actually has everything you need to know though about vowels and consonants.

Show me.

Tell a complex story in nine paragraphs about Fakey going on a walk(Absurd, I know), and describing what he sees.

One language per paragraph. Paragraphs must be 5-6 sentences long. I assume English is one of the eight, seeing as you didn't say '8 foreign languages'. The ninth paragraph must be a written summary of the story, in Middle English.

I will check each paragraph with Google Translate to make sure you didn't just use that, because it preserves the sentence structure of the language first put into it.

If you decline this challenge to prove yourself, then I shall forever call you MacNoballs.

Lol will do Fakey, but I only read and write 5 of them (I speak 8 other than English), and I don't think you'll be able to check 2 of them on Google Translate since their not mainstream languages...

Oh and you're not getting 9 paragraphs. lol. I'm taking 5 classes and I have enough homework as it is, and I'm not an expert in Middle English either, so... can't help you there.

Sorry.

Here's (in order of how they appear) Spanish, Aragonese, and Italian:

And I'll have Sicilian and Portuguese to you in a bit :)

Oh, hahaha... every time you see "year" in the Aragones, that's OpenOffice autocorrecting "yera" which is "he was"... oops.
