Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Fun fact: The nazis didn't hide on the dark side of the moon. They hid on Venus. They're coming back to earth at the end of 2012.

I'm glad they hid on Venus, so that their swastikas could get fried by 90 bar CO2 at 460 Celsius.

A nice, overcast, warm, wet Venus. With half-naked women and dinosaurs and stuff. This, people, is why I have a problem with space colonisation. Because right here within our reach could have been something like that, and reality took it away from us before we even existed.

Indeed. Sometimes it feels like the future was stolen before I was born. Not even a dying Mars to conquer.

The Nazis hid on the dark side of the moon and are coming back in 2018. In peace, so they say.

I still like "Venerean"; it's like "Jovian". After all, we're "Terrans", not "Earthians", correct?

EDIT: And if popular usage trumped proper use, then I wouldn't have gotten all that flak for sayin "sentient" instead of "sapient".
Earthling.
"The Encyclopedia is--and always has been--a fraud. In the fifty years that you have worked on this fraudulent project your retreat has been cut off, and you now have no choice but to proceed on the infinitely more important project that was, and is, our real plan. Terminus and it's companion Foundation at the other end of the galaxy are to be the seeds and founders of the Second Galactic Empire." - Harry Seldon, Isaac Asmiov's Foundation

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate... All those moments will be lost in time... Like... Tears in rain... Time to die." - Roy Batty, Bladerunner

Why Earthling?

That makes no sense. Earth is the superior environment in the solar system, therefore it should be Marsling, Moonling, Saturnling, Venusling, etc.
