Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Does anyone remember this series? Despite its shortcomings (cheesy graphics at times-kangaroo out of a horror movie anyone?, most of the episode on raptors), it was a really good show and featured some interesting topics and lesser known prehistoric animals. If only it were still around;a show in that format would be amazing with improved graphics and featuring some of the discoveries of the past decade.

I love PaleoWorld, that´s where I first learned about Terror Birds and Cryolophosaurus. I think they had an episode featuring Rhizodonts, too, but sadly I never saw it.

I think the recent Planet Dinosaur is sorta like a new "PaleoWorld", since every minute or so it paused to show the fossil evidence. It just would have needed a few more talking heads and scenes of paleontologists in the field.
