| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

Such a scare, wasn't it? In retrospect I have no idea what we were thinking at the time. Perhaps too much to drink at the New Year's Eve parties, hm? |

I don't remember caring, but then again I didn't care about computers back then. Everything's changed... |

The London one? I think I've been there before, it has a sauropod skeleton in the front entrance and this one room full of dinosaur bones that always has a ridiculously long line and ends in an animatronic T rex, right? Now I'm kind of tempted to go there and scrutinize the interns, but from what I remember it's a pain to get there from where I am, and I hate public transportation almost as much as I hate linguistic conservatives. I remember buying into the whole 2012 end of the world thing, but then life got complicated, things happened, I forgot, and now that I remember that 2012 still hasn't come, I know better than to be scared of the supposed end of the world. What I am however scared of is the fact that I'll be in the first year of college when it'll supposedly happen, and I fear people will do a bunch of stupid shit under the impression that it'll be the last stupid shit they'll be able to do. |

2012 is looking to be a great year for me. In January, my girlfriend and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary ![]() In May, I will be graduating from college. I'll be getting a bachelor's degree in zoology, and hope to put this expensive piece of paper to good use. In September, my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to London. Also looking forward to a new Muse album. Might as well throw in 12/21 too; just as everyone else has said, it should be a good laugh. Edited by Exogenesis, Dec 27 2011, 10:31 PM.

2012, especially the last little bit of 2012, should be interesting. Watching people prepare for the "end of the world" should be fun(ny) to watch. Of course, dealing with all of the crazy shit that people do will get annoying after a while. As for wars, it looks like there's a war brewing in the middle east; actually, it looks like there's a ton of wars brewing there. |
