| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! So, basically the same as everyone with any power back then? The middle ages were full of violence through all of society. And I doubt it's very historically accurate. It would be cool to see a film about the sieges of my local one, Dudley Castle. It was royalist stronghold in the civil war, and is a ruin today because of Cromwell's thugs. So, what does everyone think of Skyrim? I'm a little miffed that your companion can't ride with you, so you have to dismount to deal with everything, or leave them behind. Other than that, its really rather good. What side did everyone go with? I'm with Colonel Tigh and Commander Ivanova. |

root - or - "root for"? In Australia "root" means to fuck... e.g. I walk up to some sheila and arx her "ya wanna root luv?" Or some sheila who bangs like a dunny door will arx a bunch of blokes "yous all wanna root?" Also sometimes used in the following sentence about some who's always getting out of scrapes "the man they couldn't root, shoot or electrocute".... Getting back to rebels - I am always on their side against the monarchy, I love nothing better than a good regicide... |

Ha! I meant root for. Well then Magoo, there is nobody for you to really get excited about. You've got two people claiming the right to be High King/Queen. On the pro-Empire side you have the wife of the last High King, on the pro-Independence side you have the fellow that killed the last High King. There would be no major changes to the system of government itself. Bethesda has set it up so both sides have good and bad points. The Empire limits religious freedom and generally meddles, but with elves bent on the destruction of men, an independent Skyrim might weaken the Empire enough for it to be destroyed, leaving the sons of Skyrim to fight them alone. I do have to agree with you on regicide, nothing more satisfying than impaling that traitor Ulfric. I never manage to get away with it, but it's fun anyway. Edited by lamna, Nov 28 2011, 09:17 AM.

I really like those maps you find in cities, you can see how your faction in advancing. I don't see why you sided with the Stormcloaks, those fools don't even close their gates! They just throw a few chevaux de frise at the entrance to their forts and hope for the best. You know with the war going on I can't help think I'm forgetting something... |

the dragons? personally I think the dragons need some more variety. yeah Im aware that there are blood dragons, ancestor dragons and all the other more powerful dragons later on. but they all use either fire or frost, and they all have the same tactics. fighting dragons now feels to easy, Id prefer it if they had a greater variety of how dragons fight, so there wold be a solution beyond spamming arrows and magic while their on the ground. |
