| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! There's a lot of great schools here. I think to really get a taste of America though you need to experience both coasts. Don't limit yourself to the East Coast if you're gonna come here. |

Hey I can understand that. It seems pretty asinine to me that I live in "the land of the free" yet everyone chastises me when I refuse to say "I pledge allegiance to the flag..." No, if you want my allegiance then you have to earn it. And in my short lifetime I have yet to see my nation do anything remotely worth my allegiance. Except maybe for some of the things Bush did, though nothing to do with the war on terror or related political disgraces. Not sure why everyone thinks the man is dumb, he graduated from Harvard and Yale. That's pretty damn impressive. |

We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar. "The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming Tree That Owns Itself

It's more that I don't want to swear loyalty to a country where the head of state is a politician. I don't know Bexi, she was talking at me in Irish again, which I don't know. |

California isn't very great dial, if you're going to the West Coast, vacation there but don't stay. I would say Washington is a nicer place to live. |

same here, except for politics and gypsies, Moravia is a nice place to live in! "overall" mentality of czechs moravians and silezians is great too, far more liberal (weird to see that in most USA states, homosexuals still have to fight for their rights) and religionously tolerant (there is no way how such a religionous shit which happens in USA would happen here, such as forcing schools to teach what some religions want).. and honestly, Moravian/Zahoracke languages are the most beautiful languages ![]() in other words, Czech Republic is the best slavic country to live in Ha! (just look at all that ultra-nationalists, religionous fanatics etc. which are common among certain South slavic countries, quite narrowminded east-slavs.. and too much catholic poles) Edited by Ook, May 17 2012, 04:09 PM.
