| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! If you want to go somewhere good in Canada, try Ottawa or Montreal. There's plenty of cool stuff in Ottawa (skating on the Rideau Canal in the winter comes to mind), plus tons of good museums. Houses are fairly expensive, though. Also, DON"T GO TO TORONTO. If you hate ridiculous housing prices, awful traffic, and rude people, avoid that city. It's almost as bad as NYC for those things. Plus, the people there somehow have pride in an NHL hockey team that hasn't won the Stanley cup since the late 60s.

I know foreign accents work best for porn. Hearing people talk normally in porn is jarring at best. |

I'm not from the plains dude. Firstly, all of Kansas is in the Midwest. Secondly, Wichita isn't even on the Great Plains. It's not even close to being on it. Thirdly, bitch don't you be talking shit like you the only niggas in the Midwest to use slang. Or I'll have to gank yo' goose stepping ass. I am from the fucking Dub K, the hardest city in the Heartland with perhaps the exception of Houston. But seriously though, I don't live anywhere near the plains. They're like a four hour drive from here. |

We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar. "The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming Tree That Owns Itself

Thanks, going to keep this in mind. By the way, is the climate temperate in the western coasts, or will I have to wait for Global Warming to defreeze my path? |

No, the west coast is actually pretty warm. In fact, most of the places people actually live in Canada are pretty warm in the summer (close to 30 degrees Celsius in the summer). If you can stand winters with -20 degree temperature (Celsius) to -30 (-40 in some places), then Canada is a good place to live. You only get Tundra and ice caps far up north, but almost nobody lives there. |

The West Coast is the warmest place in Canada if memory serves. I think they can even manage to make wine on Vancouver island. |

Grapes can be grown and wine made along the southern edge of the west coast, and southern Ontario and Quebec. I wouldn't know how good it is, since I absolutely hate the taste of all wine (which is odd, given that quite a few of my relatives were alcoholics), and I generally avoid the stuff (the first parentheses should give an indication as to why).

I just do. And I couldn't drink anyways, since I'm underage (I know what it tastes like because sometimes I've had to drink wine at communion )
